LIPAFC
The Louisville–Indianapolis proximity association football contest (LIPAFC) () is a rivalry between American professional soccer clubs Louisville City FC and the Indy Eleven. Louisville City play their home games at the Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, Kentucky, while the Indy Eleven play their home games at Carroll Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Overall, Louisville have won the most matches in the rivalry's history, having won 11 times to Indy's 5 with 6 draws (as of April 6, 2024). Louisville's record win was a 4–1 victory in the USL Playoffs at their former stadium, Slugger Field, on October 20, 2018. Indy has several 1 goal wins with the last of which being a 2–1 victory at Carroll Stadium on August 21, 2022. Indy Eleven is an American professional association football, soccer team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded in 2013, the team made its debut in the North American Soccer League (2011–2017), North American Soccer League (NASL) in 2014, before moving to the United Soccer League (USL) in 2018. The club also began fielding a women's team in the USL W League beginning in 2022, with plans of eventually moving up to USL Super League. The franchise plays its home games at IU Michael A. Louisville City Football Club is an American professional soccer club based in Louisville, Kentucky. The team plays in the USL Championship, which is currently the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. The club was founded in 2014 after Orlando City SC, Orlando City's USL team franchise rights were relocated to Louisville and played their first USL season in 2015. After reaching the Eastern Conference finals of the USL playoffs in both its first two seasons, the club went on to win the 2017 USL Championship final, USL Cup in only its third season of existence. Magnus Rasmussen
Magnus Worziger Klein Rasmussen (born 18 April 1993) is a Danish footballer. Career Rasmussen came up through the youth academy of Nordsjælland, before moving to Danish second-division BSV in 2013. Rasmussen signed with USL side Louisville City FC on 12 February 2015. Rasmussen scored Louisville City's first ever competitive goal against Saint Louis FC in the opening game on 28 March 2015. He totaled eight goals and four assists in LouCity's inaugural season. In June 2016, he returned to the field after seven months of recovery from hip labral tear surgery. Antoine Hoppenot
Antoine Laurent Hoppenot (born 23 November 1990) is a French former footballer. Career College and amateur Hoppenot played college soccer at Princeton University between 2008 and 2011. 2019 USL Championship Season
The 2019 USL Championship season was the ninth season of the USL Championship and third under Division II sanctioning. This was the first season in which the league operated under the name "USL Championship," using the moniker "United Soccer League" through 2018. The season began on March 8, 2019, and concluded on October 20, 2019, with each team playing 34 matches. 36 teams competed in the 2019 USL Championship season, split into 2 conferences of 18 teams each. Louisville City FC were the two-time defending champions. The 2019 season was the last for the current version of Nashville SC. Niall McCabe
Niall McCabe (born 6 October 1990) is an Irish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Louisville City FC. Early life Personal McCabe was born in Ringsend, Dublin. He grew up playing with his local side Cambridge Boys and Ashbourne United in Meath among others, before deciding to travel to the United States to pursue a scholarship offer and a chance to earn a degree at Young Harris College. College and youth McCabe played four years of college soccer at the NCAA Division II Young Harris College between 2010 and 2014, after playing soccer in his high school years with Colaiste Ide in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland. In 2012, McCabe led the Peach Belt Conference in goals and was second in assists; winning the conference's Golden Ball and being named to the All-Conference 1st team. 2018 USL Playoffs
The 2018 USL Cup playoffs was the postseason tournament following the 2018 United Soccer League regular season, the fourth since the league rebranded for the 2015 season, and second as a USSF Division II league. Including USL Pro history, it was the seventh postseason tournament. The tournament began on the weekend of October 20 and ended on November 8. Sixteen teams (top 8 per conference) competed in the single elimination tournament. Teams were seeded one through eight in each conference. The conference semifinal winners played against each other in the Conference Championship, which served as the overall semifinals for the playoff. Ayoze García Pérez (born 22 November 1985), known simply as Ayoze, is a Spanish footballer who plays as a left-back for Tercera Federación club Atlético Victoria. Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in downtown Indianapolis, downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, United States.
