Changwon LG Sakers are a professional basketball team located in the city of Changwon in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. They play in the Korean Basketball League (KBL), and their home arena is Changwon Gymnasium which has a capacity for approximately 6,000 people. The team's main sponsor is LG Electronics. The team was established in 1997 under the name Gyeongnam LG Sakers. The name was changed to the Changwon LG Sakers after the first season. In 2024–25, the Sakers won their first KBL championship following a 4–3 win over the Seoul SK Knights in the finals. The Korean Basketball League () or simply KBL is a professional men's basketball league in South Korea which was established in 1997. ABA Club Championship
The ABA Club Championship was an Asian basketball tournament for professional clubs, organised by the Asian Basketball Association (ABA) under Dr. Carl Men Ky Ching. The ABA is not to be confused with FIBA Asia which Dr. Ching had also once presided. The tournament was first held in 1992. It was named Asian Basketball Super League from 1999 to 2001, and came to a climax in 2000. The 2023–24 KBL season is the 28th season of the Korean Basketball League (KBL), the highest level of basketball in South Korea. The regular season began on 21 October 2023. The Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters were the defending champions, having won their fourth KBL title after defeating the Seoul SK Knights in the 2023 finals, but were eliminated in the semi-finals. The Busan KCC Egis won their sixth championship after defeating Suwon KT Sonicboom in the finals, becoming the first fifth-seeded team to win the championship.
