Water Polo
Water polo is a competitive sport, competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the water polo ball, ball into the opposing team's goal (sport), goal. The team with more goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one Goalkeeper (water polo), goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. It is typically played in an all-deep swimming pool, pool where players cannot touch the bottom. A game consists mainly of the players swimming to move about the pool, treading water (mainly using the eggbeater kick), passing the ball, and shooting at the goal. 2025 Men's European U-18 Water Polo Championship
The 2025 Men's European U-18 Water Polo Championship was the 23rd edition of the Men's European U-18 Water Polo Championship. The tournament will be played in Oradea, Romania from 18 to 24 August 2025. Starting this edition, the age level has changed from U17 to U18. Greece are the defending champions. Host selection Oradea was given the hosting rights on 13 November 2024. Qualification No qualification round took place, rather it was the rankings of the previous edition that decided who took part. The sixteen teams that took part in 2023 edition qualified for the championship while the remaining teams who entered competed in the newly formed Division I.
