Linked Data Platform
Linked Data Platform (LDP) is a linked data specification defining a set of integration patterns for building RESTful HTTP services that are capable of read/write of RDF data. The Linked Data Platform allows use of RESTful HTTP to consume, create, update and delete both RDF and non-RDF resources. In addition, it defines a set of "container" constructs – buckets into which documents can be added with a relationship between the bucket and the object similar to the relationship between a blog and its constituent blog posts. History LDP evolved from work at IBM's Rational Product Group for application integration. Starting in 2010, IBM looked at linked data for application lifecycle management and sought what was an alternative means for read–write linked data. IBM joined with the W3C in June 2012 to form a W3C working group, which operated until July 2015. On 26 February 2015, the W3C Linked Data Platform 1.0 was approved as a W3C Recommendation. Implementation Read–write ...

Long Distance (Skateboard) Pumping
Pumping is a skateboarding technique used to accelerate without the rider's feet leaving the board. Pumping can be done by turning or on a transition, like a ramp or quarter pipe.{{cite web , url=https://skateboarding.transworld.net/how-to/basics-ollies/pumping/ , title=Skateboarding 101: How to Pump on Transition and Maintain Speed , date=15 August 2024 When applied to longboards, it is also known as Long distance skateboard pumping or LDP. Pumping is a technique similar to pumping a surfboard. Transition Transition pumping can only be done when there is a slope differential between the front and rear wheels. On a ramp it therefore is only possible at the top and bottom of the slope, but in a pipe it is possible at any height above the flat. The rider should push downward on the truck with the greatest slope under the wheels. On the top of a ramp the front wheels should be pushed, and at the bottom the rear trucks should be pushed. On a pipe the weight should be applied ...

Long Day Plant
Photoperiod is the change of day length around the seasons. The rotation of the earth around its axis produces 24 hour changes in light (day) and dark (night) cycles on earth. The length of the light and dark in each phase varies across the seasons due to the tilt of the earth around its axis. The photoperiod defines the length of the light, for example a summer day the length of light could be 16 hours while the dark is 8 hours, whereas a winter day the length of day could be 8 hours, whereas the dark is 16 hours. Importantly, the seasons are different in the northern hemisphere than the southern hemisphere. Photoperiodism is the physiological reaction of organisms to the length of light or a dark period. It occurs in plants and animals. Plant photoperiodism can also be defined as the developmental responses of plants to the relative lengths of light and dark periods. They are classified under three groups according to the photoperiods: short-day plants, long-day plants, and day ...

Town And Country Planning In Wales
Town and country planning in Wales is based on the land use planning town and country planning in the United Kingdom, system which applies in England. However, the system in Wales has some distinctive features which have arisen because substantial responsibility for town and country planning has been devolution, devolved to the Welsh Government (WAG). In particular, Wales now has a Spatial Plan and Welsh Ministers have a duty under the Government of Wales Act 2006 to promote sustainable development. Overall planning policy in Wales The context for planning policy in Wales is contained within two main documents, ''Planning Policy Wales'', which provides guidance on the preparation and content of development plans and advice on development control decisions and appeals; and ''Minerals Planning Policy Wales'', which gives guidance for the extraction of all minerals and other substances in, on or under land. Taken together with supporting documents, these cover the same broad areas as ...

Loan Deficiency Payments
In United States agriculture policy, loan deficiency payments (LDP) are a farm income support program first authorized by the Food Security Act of 1985 (P.L. 99-198) that makes direct payments, equivalent to marketing loan gains, to producers who agree not to obtain nonrecourse loans, even though they are eligible. Loan deficiency payments are available under the 2002 farm bill The Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002, also known as the 2002 Farm Bill, includes ten titles, addressing a great variety of issues related to agriculture, ecology, energy, trade, and nutrition. This act has been superseded by the 2 ... (P.L. 101-171, Sec. 1205) for wheat, corn, grain sorghum, barley, oats, upland cotton, rice, soybeans, other oilseeds, wool, mohair, honey, dry peas, lentils, and small chickpeas. Producer Option Payment (POP) is the original name for the loan deficiency payment (LDP). This phrase continues to be used by some farmers. References * External links Nonrecou ...

Lingwa De Planeta
Lingwa de planeta (also Lidepla or LdP) is a constructed international auxiliary language based on widely spoken languages of the world, including Arabic, Mandarin, English, French, German, Hindi, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. The main idea of Lidepla is a harmonious whole on the base of the most widespread and influential national languages. The intention is also for it to have something in common with the native languages of most people. With the various source languages from across the globe, it is one of the a posteriori languages. Development of the language began in 2006 in Saint Petersburg, Russia, by a group of enthusiasts, with Dmitri Ivanov being the project leader. The basic version of the language was published in June 2010. Alphabet and pronunciation The official Lidepla alphabet is based on the Latin script and contains the following 25 letters,

Long-distance Footpaths In The UK
There are hundreds of long-distance footpaths in the United Kingdom designated in publications from public authorities, guidebooks and OS maps. They are mainly used for hiking and walking, but some may also be used, in whole or in part, for mountain biking and horse riding. Most are in rural landscapes, in varying terrain, some passing through National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is no formal definition of a long-distance path, though the British Long Distance Walkers Association defines one as a route "20 miles 2 kmor more in length and mainly off-road." They usually follow existing rights of way, often over private land, linked and sometimes waymarked to make a named route. Generally, the surface is not specially prepared, with rough ground, uneven surfaces and stiles, which can cause accessibility issues for people with disabilities. Exceptions to this can be converted railways, canal towpaths and some popular fell walking routes where stone-pitching ...

Rate Function
In mathematics — specifically, in large deviations theory — a rate function is a function used to quantify the probabilities of rare events. Such functions are used to formulate large deviation principles. A large deviation principle quantifies the asymptotic probability of rare events for a sequence of probabilities. A rate function is also called a Cramér function, after the Swedish probabilist Harald Cramér. Definitions Rate function An extended real-valued function I: X \to , +\infty/math> defined on a Hausdorff topological space X is said to be a rate function if it is not identically +\infty and is lower semi-continuous ''i.e.'' all the sub-level sets :\ \mbox c \geq 0 are closed in X. If, furthermore, they are compact, then I is said to be a good rate function. A family of probability measures (\mu_)_ on X is said to satisfy the large deviation principle with rate function I: X \to , +\infty) (and rate 1/\delta) if, for every closed set F \subseteq X a ...

Local Differential Privacy
Local differential privacy (LDP) is a model of differential privacy with the added requirement that if an adversary has access to the personal responses of an individual in the database, that adversary will still be unable to learn much of the user's personal data. This is contrasted with global differential privacy, a model of differential privacy that incorporates a central aggregator with access to the raw data. Local differential privacy (LDP) is an approach to mitigate the concern of data fusion and analysis techniques used to expose individuals to attacks and disclosures. LDP is a well-known privacy model for distributed architectures that aims to provide privacy guarantees for each user while collecting and analyzing data, protecting from privacy leaks for the client and server. LDP has been widely adopted to alleviate contemporary privacy concerns in the era of big data. History The randomized response survey technique proposed by Stanley L. Warner in 1965 is frequen ...
