Lawrence Anthony "L.A." Nubla Mumar (born March 20, 1980) is a Filipino basketball coach and currently serves as the head coach of the Ateneo Blue Eagles women's basketball team since 2020. Career Playing From 1996 until 2000, Mumar played for Ateneo Blue Eagles served as back-up point guard. He played before another LA, (LA Tenorio) became a Blue Eagle. Coaching and team directorship Mumar became coach of Lyceum Junior Pirates until 2019. He later served as Ateneo's assistant to athletic director. He later became the head coach of the Lady Eagles. League official Mumar formerly served as the Tournament Director for the UAAP Season 82 Collegiate Basketball Tournament. Ateneo Blue Eagles
The Ateneo Blue Eagles are the collegiate varsity teams of the Ateneo de Manila University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere collegiate league in the Philippines. The Ateneo collegiate men's varsity basketball team was not always called the Blue Eagles. It got the name Blue Eagles when Ateneo adopted the ''Eagle'' as its mascot in 1938. Prior to that, from 1914 it was known under different names. Ateneo has fifteen collegiate men's varsity teams that participate in fifteen sporting events of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, its mother league. Lauro Mumar
Lauro "The Fox" Mumar (March 6, 1924 – December 20, 1990) was a Filipino basketball player and later served as the national team head coach of India and the Philippines. He was one of the greatest Filipino players of his time, playing alongside compatriot legend Carlos Loyzaga. He is the father of Lawrence "Larry" Mumar (30 November 1946 – 23 October 2001) who was also a basketball player. He is the grandfather of L.A. Mumar, Vico Sotto's half-brother. Career Early years In 1946, he led the San Carlos College of Cebu City to the first post-war Inter-Collegiate basketball championship. Victor Ma. Regis "Vico" Nubla Sotto (; born June 17, 1989) is a Filipino politician who has served as the 12th mayor of Pasig since 2019. He previously served as a member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Pasig City Council for the first district from 2016 to 2019. The LPU Pirates and Lady Pirates are the athletic teams that represent the Lyceum of the Philippines University and play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines), the oldest athletic association in the Philippines. UAAP Season 82 Basketball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 82 basketball tournaments were the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) basketball tournaments for the 2019–20 school year. Jensen Ilagan, the technical director of the regional ASEAN Basketball League was appointed commissioner for the season's basketball tournaments on August 6, 2019. The senior men's and women's tournaments began on September 4, 2019, while the juniors' division which was sub-hosted by National University held their opening games on November 13 for the boys' tournament and on January 11, 2020 for the newly formed girls' competition.
