LATAM Challenge Series
LATAM Challenge Series is an open-wheel racing series based in Latin America. LATAM is the replacement for Formula Renault 2000 de America. Venues In the 7 seasons, 20 venues were used, all road courses. The races were mostly held in Mexico until 2013, while all the races in 2014 season were held in Florida and Texas. In 2008 and 2009 the series was a support race for the World Touring Car Championship's Race of Mexico in Puebla. Cars For the first two seasons, Formula Renault 2.0 cars was used. From 2010 the series uses a Formula Vee configuration, with Volkswagen engines. Tatuus chassis are used. Cresson, Texas
Cresson is a city located at the corners of Hood, Johnson, and Parker counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 377 and State Highway 171, southwest of Fort Worth. Incorporated in 2001, Cresson had a population of 741 at the 2010 census. History The origin of the name has been lost to history. One book suggests the city may have been named after John Cresson, captain of a wagon train that camped in the area before the Civil War. A similar story is told that Cresson was named for an official with the Fort Worth and Rio Grande Railroad. Cresson was at one time served by the Fort Worth and Rio Grande, the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe and the Nancy Hanks railroad companies. Parque Tangamanga I and II are public parks in the city of San Luis Potosí. History Parque Tangamanga I was inaugurated in 1983 in the former Hacienda La Tenería. FIA WTCC Race Of Mexico ...
The FIA WTCC Race of Mexico was a round of the World Touring Car Championship, held at the Autódromo Miguel E. Abed near the city of Puebla in Mexico. The race was first run in the 2005 season, the first season of the revived series. It was run every year between 2005 and 2009 except in the 2007 season, when the planned event was cancelled due to problems with the Puebla circuit, although these problems were addressed for 2008. The event was run in June in 2005, in July in 2006, in April in 2008 and in March in 2009. The 2010 running was cancelled due to security fears in the region. World Touring Car Championship
The FIA World Touring Car Championship was an international touring car championship promoted by Eurosport Events and sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It has had several different incarnations, including a single season in 1987 as the World Touring Car Championship and most recently a world championship (WTCC) that has run between 2005 and 2017. Following the 2017 season, an agreement was reached for the FIA WTCC to become FIA WTCR and use the TCR technical regulations. Decatur, Texas
Decatur is the county seat of Wise County, Texas, United States. Its population was 6,538 in 2020. History Wise County was established in 1856, and Taylorsville (in honor of Zachary Taylor) was made the county seat. Absalom Bishop, an early settler and member of the Texas Legislature, opposed naming the town after a Whig Party member, and in 1858, arranged to have the name changed to Decatur, in honor of naval hero Stephen Decatur. In 1857, a post office was opened, and the first school was established in 1857. In the early 1860s, a courthouse was erected. Civil War Early settlers to northern Texas came from a variety of eastern states, and only about half came from the "Deep South".
