L. J. Fellenz
Louis John Fellenz Sr. (November 29, 1882January 1, 1953) was an American lawyer, politician, and judge from Wisconsin. He was district attorney of Fond du Lac County for four years, was a member of the Wisconsin Senate, and was a Wisconsin circuit court judge for the last nine years of his life. Wisconsin Circuit Courts
The Wisconsin circuit courts are the general trial courts in the state of Wisconsin. There are currently 69 circuits in the state, divided into 10 judicial administrative districts. Circuit court judges hear and decide both civil and criminal cases. Each of the 249 circuit court judges are elected and serve six-year terms. On March 6, 2020, Governor Tony Evers signed bipartisan legislation to create 12 new circuit court branches, with four seats to be added each year from 2021 to 2023. Structure of the circuit courts The circuit court system is composed of 69 circuits, with 66 circuits serving a single county, and three circuits serving two counties each. Buffalo and Pepin counties share a circuit, as do Florence and Forest counties, and Shawano and Menominee counties. 26 circuit courts are served by a single judge. Campbellsport, Wisconsin
Campbellsport is a village in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,016 at the 2010 census. History The village was named after Stuart Campbell, an early settler. It was also called Campbell's Port or West New Cassel. Campbellsport was incorporated in 1902, absorbing the older nearby village of New Cassel. In 2008, the body of a female was discovered near Campbellsport. The identity of the individual found remained a mystery until 2021, when she was identified as Amy Yeary. Campbellsport is a community of roughly 1850 citizens situated in the rolling hills of the Northern Kettle Moraine in Southeastern Wisconsin. It is a quiet village located on State Highway 67, between US Highways 41 and 45. Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin
Fort Atkinson is a city in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, United States. It is on the Rock River, a few miles upstream from Lake Koshkonong. The population was 12,579 at the 2020 census. Fort Atkinson is the largest city located entirely in Jefferson County, as Watertown is split between Jefferson and Dodge Counties. History Fort Atkinson was named after General Henry Atkinson, the commander of U.S. forces in the area during the Black Hawk War (1832) against a mixed band of Sauk, Meskwaki and Kickapoo peoples.
