Köchel Catalogue
The Köchel catalogue () is a catalogue of compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, originally created by Ludwig Ritter von Köchel, in which the entries are abbreviated ''K.'' or ''KV''. Its numbers reflect the ongoing task of compiling the chronology of Mozart's works, and provide a shorthand reference to the compositions. For example, according to Köchel's counting, Requiem (Mozart), Requiem in D minor is the 626th piece Mozart composed, thus is designated ''K. 626''. Köchel's original catalogue (1862) has been revised several times. Catalogue numbers from these revised editions are indicated either by parentheses or by superscript: K. 49, K. 49 (47d) or K. 47d refers to the work numbered 47d in the sixth edition. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) was a prolific and influential composer of the Classical period who wrote in many genres. Perhaps his best-admired works can be found within the categories of operas, piano concertos, piano sonatas, symphonies, string quartets, and string quintets. Mozart also wrote many violin sonatas; other forms of chamber music; violin concertos, and other concertos for one or more solo instruments; masses, and other religious music; organ music; masonic music; and numerous dances, marches, divertimenti, serenades, and other forms of light entertainment. Salzburg

Symphony No
A symphony is an extended musical composition in Western classical music, most often for orchestra. Although the term has had many meanings from its origins in the ancient Greek era, by the late 18th century the word had taken on the meaning common today: a work usually consisting of multiple distinct sections or movements, often four, with the first movement in sonata form. Symphonies are almost always scored for an orchestra consisting of a string section (violin, viola, cello, and double bass), brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments which altogether number about 30 to 100 musicians. Symphonies are notated in a musical score, which contains all the instrument parts. Orchestral musicians play from parts which contain just the notated music for their own instrument. London Sketchbook (Mozart)
The ''London Sketchbook'' (), K.15 a–ss ( Anh. 109b) is a series of 43 untitled pieces and sketches written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart between 1764 and 1765 while in London (see the Mozart family's grand tour). The set of works is denoted by its K number, followed by its respective letter, i.e. 15a, 15b, 15c, etc. Most pieces are extremely short, normally lasting from 40 seconds to a minute; however, some span as long as four minutes in total (see K. 15t). According to the ''Neue Mozart-Ausgabe'', the intended purpose of this book was not for musical exercise, as once thought, but rather for the young Mozart, who had just learned how to use pen and ink, to write down his own inspiration without needing anyone's help. Violin Sonatas, KV 10–15 (Mozart)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed six sonatas for keyboard with accompaniment of violin (or flute) and cello, Köchel catalogue, K. 10–15, in late 1764 in London during the Mozart family grand tour, Mozart family's grand tour of Europe. Britain's Queen Charlotte commissioned them on 25 October, and the works were dedicated to her on 18 January 1765. They were published as Mozart's "Opus III" by his father Leopold Mozart, Leopold at 20 Frith Street, Soho, London, where the Mozarts lived from September 1764 until after May 1765. The keyboard part was originally written for a harpsichord. Unlike Mozart's other works for violin and keyboard, the first edition was printed with a separate ''ad libitum'' cello part for all six sonatas. Violin Sonatas, KV 6–9 (Mozart)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's first four sonatas for keyboard and violin, K. 6–9 are among his earliest works, composed between 1762 and 1764. They encompass several of Mozart's firsts as a composer: for example, his first works incorporating the violin, his first works with more than a single instrument, his first works in more than one movement and his first works in sonata form. In fact, previous to this, all his works had been short solo-pieces for the harpsichord.
