Kënga Magjike
Kënga Magjike (; ) is an annual music competition organised by the Albanian television broadcaster Televizioni Klan. The music competition has been broadcasting annually since its inauguration in 1999 with the exception of 2020. The first edition of the contest was broadcast live by Radio Televizioni Shqiptar while all the editions from 2003 by Televizioni Klan. Ardit Gjebrea has been the main presenter of the contest since the first edition and in other occasions he has hosted with other co-presenters amongst them Brigitte Nielsen, Natalia Estrada, Songül Öden and Elia Zogu. History 1999–2005 Throughout its history, different broadcasters have been credited with the production and airing of this event, including RTSH, Klan TV, TVA, RTV NRG (Albania) and RTV21, RTK (Kosovo), as well as many radio stations. RTV21 (an acronym for Radiotelevizioni 21; English: Radiotelevision 21) is a broadcaster and media company based in Pristina, Kosovo, which includes a radio (est. May 11, 1998), a television station (est. September 22, 2000), and six sister stations. Its launch in online radio made it the first Albanian station to air over the internet. History Founding Founded as Radio 21 by Afërdita Saraçini and her husband, Florin Kelmendi, this transmission was a 30-minute news program about the events in Kosovo during the 1998-1999 war. Radio 21 reported from Skopje temporarily during the NATO bombing (March–June 1999). Kënga Magjike 2006
Kënga Magjike 08 was the eighth edition of the annual Albanian song competition, first held in 1999. It took place in the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, Albania. There were two semifinals (17 and 18 November 2006) and a final (19 November 2006). Fifty-three songs were heard in advance by the public at home, which narrowed them down to 39 songs by televoting. Genta Ismajli
Gentiana Ismajli (born 12 April 1984), known professionally as Genta Ismajli, is a Kosovo-Albanian singer, songwriter, and actress. Career Ismajli was born in Gjilan to an Albanian family. Before Genta was born, they moved to Gjilan. A few months after her birth, her parents decided to move to Chicago, Illinois in the United States, where she was raised. At the age of 19, she went to Kosovo and released the single "Dridhem". The song became a hit, which ignited Ismajli's music career. She later relocated permanently to Kosovo, and has participated in several music competitions, both in Albania and Kosovo. Kënga Magjike 07 was the seventh edition of the Albanian music contest Kënga Magjike and took place in the Palace of Congresses in Tirana. There were two semi-finals (11 & 12 November 2005) and a final (13 November 2005). 31 songs competed for the win but only 14 made it to the final. In the end, Gentiana Ismajli won the first prize. Pandi Laço
Pandi Laço (born 21 March 1964 in Korçë) is an Albanian journalist, songwriter, presenter and scenarist. He is mostly known for his work on Albanian Eurovision songs, of which he wrote several. Pandi has worked with notable Albanian artists including Frederik Ndoci. Since a few years ago, he has started his own show called "Histori me Zhumues" (History with noise), a show for Albanian history in film and music. Pirro Çako is an Albanian singer and composer. In 1988, he won the Festivali i Këngës as a composer with the song ''E duam lumturinë'' ( en, We love happiness). The song was interpreted by Parashqevi Simaku. He has issued two albums: ''Herët a vonë'' ( en, Sooner or Later) in June 2004 and including 15 songs, and more recently, a second album, ''Mos më krahaso'' ( en, Don't Compare Me), a set of 12 songs. Irma Libohova (born 14 April 1959) is an Albanian singer and songwriter. Life and career Libohova was born in Libohovë in a family originating from Libohovë. Elsa Lila (; born 4 July 1981) is an Albanian singer. Life and career Elsa Lila was born on 4 July 1981 in Tirana, Albania. Her father was a singer of the former Albanian state choir, while her mother was a violinist, so both of her parents raised her close to the music and the theatre, giving her a great love for the arts. Lila had shown her singing and acting talents ever since she was a child in Albanian state television shows, and won the Albanian national song contest two years in a row while she was in her teenage years. Top Channel is a national commercial television network based in Tirana, Albania, founded by Dritan Hoxha in 2001. In January 2008, Top Channel was awarded national frequency coverage by making it the third such channel in Albania.
