Kyrre Grepp
Olav Kyrre Grepp (6 August 1879 – 6 February 1922) was a Norway, Norwegian politician, leader of the Norwegian Labour Party. Grepp became a Communist by the end of his life and was active in the Comintern. He studied literature and philosophy, however he became increasingly politically active. Grepp was elected after university studies in the Labor Party's central board in 1912. He was in favor of revolutionary tactics and strengthening the labor movement's extra-parliamentary aids and in 1918 pushed through the Labor Party's accession to the Communist International. As the party's leader, despite cooperation with Moscow, Grepp managed to preserve some independence for the party. As an organizer and tactician, Grepp was probably one of the foremost in the Norwegian labor movement. (26 May 1907 – 29 August 1940) was a Norwegian translator, journalist, and socialist. She was the daughter of former chairman of the Norwegian Labour Party Kyrre Grepp and journalist Rachel Grepp. She was married to Italian-Swiss potter Mario Mascarin (1901–66). They had a son Olav Kyrre (Ping) Grepp and a daughter, Solveig Marie Alexandra "Sacha" Grepp. The daughter was named after family friend Alexandra Kollontai. Spanish Civil War Grepp covered the Spanish Civil War as a reporter for the Labour Party newspaper ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1936. She arrived in Barcelona in October 1936, as the first female reporter from Scandinavia. She travelled to Madrid, where she experienced bombing attacks on the city. Rachel Grepp
Rachel Catharina Helland Grepp, née Helland (5 March 1879 – 24 May 1961) was a Norwegian journalist and politician for the Norwegian Labour Party. She was among the founders of Bergens Socialdemokratiske Ungdomslag in 1902. From 1923 to 1945 she was a journalist in ''Dagsavisen, Arbeiderbladet'', a member of Oslo city council as well as international secretary and member of the women's secretariat in the Labour Party. These positions were ''de facto'' suspended from 1940 due to the German occupation of Norway. She was the Labour Party's eighth ballot candidate in the 1924 Norwegian parliamentary election, 1924 parliamentary election and the eighth ballot candidate in the 1927 Norwegian parliamentary election, 1927 election.
