Kylähullut
Kylähullut was a speed metal /punk band from Tampere, Finland. Their song lyrics are written in Finnish, and the band name means ''Villiage Idiot'' in Finnish. Stefan Glas from ''underground-empire.com'' described the music on Kylähullut's 2005 album ''Turpa Täynnä'' as a combination of "drunk-punk" and "metal'n'roll“. They produced two studio albums, released on Kråklund Records, as well as two EPs. The band was founded in 2003 and broke up in 2012 after the death of drummer Tonmi Lillman. History In 2003, guitarist and singer Alexi Laiho (from the band Sinergy, Children of Bodom) and singer Vesa Jokinen (from the band Klamydia) met by chance at the when they were seated at the same table in the restaurant Telakka in Tampere. Alexi Laiho
Alexi Laiho (; born Markku Uula Aleksi Laiho; 8 April 1979 – 29 December 2020) was a Finnish guitarist, composer, and vocalist. He was best known as the lead guitarist, lead vocalist and founding member of the melodic death metal band Children of Bodom, and was also the guitarist for Sinergy, the Local Band, Kylähullut, and Bodom After Midnight, which formed just prior to his death. Laiho had previously played with Thy Serpent and Impaled Nazarene on occasion, as well as Warmen and Hypocrisy. Career Laiho started playing violin at the age of seven and guitar at the age of eleven. His main guitar influence was Helloween. He then became interested in more extreme, mainly black metal music. His first guitar was a Tokai Stratocaster. Vesa "Vesku" Jokinen (born 1970) is the lead singer in Finnish punk rock band Klamydia, based in Vaasa on the Finnish west coast, and in Kylähullut. He and his friends in the band created the record label Kråklund Records in the beginning of the 1990s because they were unsatisfied with the big record companies. He has also worked solo releasing the 2000 solo album called ''Outo Kunnia'' (meaning Strange honor in English). In 2012, he released a joint album with Sundin Pojat entitled ''Juuret''. Tonmi Lillman
Tonmi Lillman (born Tommi Kristian Lillman, 3 June 197314 February 2012) was a Finnish musician, best known as Otus, the former drummer of the Finnish Rock music, rock band Lordi. Lillman died on 14 February 2012 after an illness. Career Lillman's father was a musician, and as a result he grew up surrounded by a large assortment of instruments. Tonmi received his first drum kit at age 9 and started performing live at age 14. Apart from drums and bass guitar, his primary instruments, Tonmi also played the keyboards and guitar. Prior to his death, he was involved in the bands Ajattara, Kylähullut, Vanguard and 3rror (band), 3rror. From his previous bands, he became best known as the drummer of Sinergy, To/Die/For and Lordi. In his professional career Lillman also taught digital recording and drums at Kouvola Musiikkiopisto (Kouvola Conservatoire). Kuopio Rockcock
Kuopiorock (also Kuopio Rockcock or simply Rockcock) is a Finnish two- to three-day rock music festival held annually in Väinölänniemi, Kuopio, at the turn of July and August. The first event was held in 2003. In 2012, the event celebrated its 10th anniversary and the festival was held on 27–28 July. In connection with the event, there is a Campcock campsite. Väinölänniemi will be fenced throughout the event.
