Kyle Rubisch
Kyle Rubisch (born August 29, 1988) is a professional lacrosse player for the San Diego Seals of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). College and Club career Rubisch is a graduate from Dowling College. During his tenure there, he was named to the 2010 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-Star Team and was a First Team All American. He has also received several accolades with his hometown team, the Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse. Professional career Rubisch was the 2nd overall draft pick, going to the Boston Blazers in the 2010 NLL Entry Draft. In his rookie season Rubisch headed the Blazers defense recording a team-high 143 loose balls and 20 forced turnovers. Rubisch also netted his first NLL goal against Rochester on April 2. Major Series Lacrosse
Major Series Lacrosse (MSL) is a Senior A box lacrosse league with 7 teams based in Ontario, Canada, sanctioned by the Ontario Lacrosse Association. The league championship team each year goes on to play against the champions of the Western Lacrosse Association for the Mann Cup in September. The championship is hosted alternately between Ontario and British Columbia. History Field Era Major Series Lacrosse originated in the late 19th century as the Canadian Lacrosse Association. 2013 NLL Season
The 2013 National Lacrosse League season, the 27th in the history of the NLL, began on January 5, 2013 and ended with the Championship game on May 11, 2013. The Rochester Knighthawks overcame a mediocre 8-8 season to get hot in the playoffs for the second straight year, defeating the Philadelphia Wings, Minnesota Swarm, and Washington Stealth to win their second straight Championship. The Knighthawks became the first team to repeat as NLL Champions since the 2002-2003 Toronto Rock. 2013 featured a very close regular season, as the top and bottom teams were only separated by 4 games (the 10-6 Toronto Rock vs. 6-10 Buffalo Bandits). The final playoff spot was up for grabs right up until the final weekend of the season. Pat McCready (born October 18, 1974 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a retired Canadian lacrosse player who played most of his National Lacrosse League career for Rochester Knighthawks, Buffalo Bandits, Toronto Rock, and Charlotte Cobras. As of 2013, he ranks third in NLL history in loose balls (1,593), second in penalty minutes (468), and seventh in games played (219). NLL career McCready made his professional lacrosse debut in 1996 with the Charlotte Cobras. The 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship was the third World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, an international box lacrosse tournament organized by the Federation of International Lacrosse every four years. It took place between 21 and 28 May 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic at the 4,900 seat Eden Arena, an Olympic-sized rink. The Canadian team was the defending champion and for the third time defeated the Iroquois Nationals in the finals, 13–6.
