Kyiv Music Fest (), is an annual international music festival in Kyiv, Ukraine, that profiles modern Ukrainian classical music. The festival aims to promote Ukrainian musicians in the context of world art. It was founded by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the National Union of Composers of Ukraine. The festival is held annually in late September to early October. The festival program features works by modern Ukrainian and foreign composers. Premieres of the Season is an international music festival founded by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Kyiv Organization of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine on December 1, 1988. The initiator and music director of the festival is Ukrainian composer Ihor Shcherbakov. Since 1989, it has been held annually in Kyiv, Ukraine, in the Spring, from late March to early April. ''Kontrasty'' (), or Contrasts, is an international festival of contemporary music held in Lviv, Ukraine, annually since 1995. The festival's concept is aimed at presenting "contemporary Ukrainian music in the context of World Music", and "revealing the diversity of modern forms, styles, genres, and interpretations." The festival usually takes place in September and October. Along with such festivals as "Two Days and Two Nights of New Music," "Kyiv Music Fest" and others, "Contrasts" is one of the leading festivals of modern classical music in Ukraine. It supports artistic cooperation among festivals and offers programs for new festival and artistic managers.
