Kwok Ho Ting
Marco Kwok Ho-Ting (; born on 26 February 1988) is a Hong Kong's World Champion cyclist. On 24 March 2011, he stunned a quality field to win the gold medal in the scratch race at the 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. Kwok beat Italy's Elia Viviani to second place, with Morgan Kneisky of France taking third. Kwok and the Hong Kong famous cyclist Wong Kam-po are the only two Asian elite male cyclists, who have the honour to wear the Rainbow jersey. "I didn't even prepare specifically for this race. British Hong Kong
Hong Kong was a British colony, colony and later a British Dependent Territory, dependent territory of the British Empire from 1841 to 1997, apart from a period of occupation under the Japanese Empire from Japanese occupation of Hong Kong, 1941 to 1945 during the Pacific War. Apeldoorn
Apeldoorn (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. It is located about 60 km east of Utrecht, 60 km west of Enschede, 25 km north of Arnhem and 35 km south of Zwolle. Rainbow Jersey Track
A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun. Rainbows can be full circles. However, the observer normally sees only an arc formed by illuminated droplets above the ground, and centered on a line from the Sun to the observer's eye. In a primary rainbow, the arc shows red on the outer part and violet on the inner side. This rainbow is caused by light being refracted when entering a droplet of water, then reflected inside on the back of the droplet and refracted again when leaving it. 2009–10 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics
The 2009–10 UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics is a multi race tournament over a season of track cycling. The season ran from 30 October 2009 to 24 January 2010. The World Cup was organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale. The World Cup kicked off in Manchester, Great Britain, then moved to Melbourne, Australia, from 19–21 November. As in the previous season, there were also rounds at the Alcides Nieto Patiño Velodrome in Cali, Colombia, from 10–11 December 2009, and in Beijing, China, from 22–24 January 2010. Unlike previous year, there was no World Cup event in Copenhagen, Denmark, but that was the venue for the 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, which took place from 24–28 March. Tour De Korea
The Tour de Korea is an annual professional road bicycle racing stage race held in South Korea since 2000 as part of the UCI Asia Tour. It was rated by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as a 2.2 category race between 2005 and 2013, then promoted to 2.1 category in 2014. The race is organised by the Korea Cycling Federation. Tsang Tak Sing GBS JP (; born 1949, Canton, China) is the former Secretary for Home Affairs of Hong Kong. Rainbow Jersey
The rainbow jersey is the distinctive cycling jersey, jersey worn by the reigning World Cycling Championship, world champion in a cycling discipline, since 1927. The jersey is predominantly white with five horizontal bands in the Union Cycliste Internationale, UCI colours around the chest. From the bottom up the colours are: green, yellow, black, red and blue; the same colours that appear in the rings on the Olympic flag. The tradition is applied to all disciplines, including road bicycle racing, road racing, track cycling, track racing, cyclo-cross, BMX, Trials and the disciplines within mountain biking. Wong Kam-po
Wong Kam-po SBS MH (, born 13 March 1973) is a Hong Kong racing cyclist. A specialist in road bicycle racing, at age 34 he became a track cycling world champion in the scratch race of the 2007 World Championships, which was not his specialty. Wong Kam-po is a five-time Olympian (the most of any Hong Kong athlete) and much-lauded sports icon. He won Asian Games individual road race three times (1998, 2006, 2010) under competition from Pro tour cyclists of Central Asia countries such as Kazakhstan. He won also track World Cup twice.
