Kutle Khan
Kutle Khan (born 10 January 1984) is an Indian singer, music composer, and songwriter from Rajasthan. He has been a playback singer for numerous films and TV Series such as Aambala, Action, Afwaah, Dahaad, Love Shaadi Drama. Kadish Ulga Por. Khan was featured on Coke Studio @ MTV Season 3. He received the Best Folk Single Award at Global Indian Music Academy Awards (GiMA) 2015 for his composition "Moomal". Khan was featured on TV Series and shows like MTV Coke Studio Season 3, MTV Unplugged, The Dewarists, Radiocity Freedom Awards, and more. Throughout his career, He has performed in over 80 countries. 20th IIFA Awards
The 20th IIFA Awards (International Indian Film Academy Awards) were held on 18 September 2019. For the first time in the Awards' history, the awards were held in India, Mumbai. The nominees were announced on 2019. Khartal
Khartal is an ancient instrument mainly used in devotional / folk songs. It has derived its name from Sanskrit words ‘kara’ meaning hand and ‘tala’ meaning clapping. This wooden clapper is a Ghana Vadya which has discs or plates that produce a clinking sound when clapped together. It falls under the class of idiophones of self-sounding instruments that combine properties of vibrator and resonator. Usually made of wood or metal, a khartal player will hold one ‘male’ and ‘female’ khartal in each hand. The ‘male’ khartal is usually thicker and is held with the thumb while the ‘female’ khartal is usually thinner and is mainly balanced on the ring finger, which represents the fire element. It is associated with the sun and the root chakra. Its force is associated with staying power, stamina, and the power to be assertive. Manganiar
The Manganiar are a Muslim community found in the Thar Desert region of Rajasthan, India; mostly in the districts of Barmer and Jaisalmer, and in the districts of Tharparkar and Sanghar in the bordering province of Sindh in Pakistan. They are known for various compositions describing stories focused on humans, nature, and salvation. They, along with the Langha community, are known for their folk music. They are groups of hereditary professional musicians whose music has been supported by wealthy landlords and aristocrats for generations.
