''Valley of the Wolves'' () is a Turkish crime drama television series created by Osman Sınav and Raci ÅžaÅŸmaz, which originally aired on Show TV. The show focuses on the protagonist Agent Polat Alemdar, an undercover operative who joins the mafia and becomes the partner of a known mafia gunman, Süleyman Çakır. The show makes direct and indirect references to Turkish politics. The show was subsequently acquired by Kanal D for its final season. ''Valley of the Wolves'' became the most successful TV show in Turkey. Melahat Özgü Namal (born 28 December 1978) is a Turkish people, Turkish actress. Biography Her maternal family are Turkish immigrants from Thessaloniki, Ottoman Empire (now in Greece). Rauf Raif Denktaş (27 January 1924 – 13 January 2012) was a Turkish Cypriot politician, barrister and jurist who served as the founding president of Northern Cyprus. Turkish mafia () is the general term for criminal organizations based in Turkey and/or composed of current or former Turkish citizens. Crime groups with origins in Turkey are active throughout Western Europe (where a strong Turkish immigrant community exists) and less so in the Middle East.
