Kurtha (Vidhan Sabha Constituency)
Kurtha Assembly constituency is an Vidhan Sabha, assembly constituency in Arwal district of Bihar. It is the part of Jahanabad (Lok Sabha constituency). In Kurtha constituency, Kushwaha, Yadav and Bhumihar voters are descisive in ensuring victory of a candidate, due to their numerical preponderance. In 1969, the Shoshit Samaj Party leader, Jagdev Prasad, who was also called 'Lenin of Bihar', won from this assembly constituency. Satyadev Kushwaha won twice in 2010 and 2015 from here. In 2020, however, he was defeated by Bagi Kumar Verma of Rashtriya Janata Dal. 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election
The Bihar Legislative Assembly election was held in three phases through October–November to elect members to the Seventeenth Bihar Legislative Assembly. The term of the previous Sixteenth Legislative Assembly of Bihar ended on 29 November 2020. The election was held in three phases for a total of 243 seats:- the first for 71 seats on 28 October 2020, the second for 94 seats on 3 November 2020, and the third for the remaining 78 seats on 7 November 2020. Jagdeo Prasad
Babu Jagdeo Prasad (2 February 1922 – 5 September 1974), alternatively spelled as Jagdev Prasad and popularly known as Jagdev Babu, was an Indian politician and a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly who served as Bihar, Bihar's deputy chief minister in 1968 for four days in the Satish Prasad Singh cabinet. A great Socialism, socialist and a proponent of Arjak Sangh, Arjak culture, he was the founder of Shoshit Dal (later Shoshit Samaj Dal) and was a staunch antagonist and critic of India's Caste system in India, caste system. 1995 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election
The 11th Bihar Legislative Assembly elections were held in March 1995, to elect the 324 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Janata Dal got a decisive victory in the state; political manoeuvre ensured Lalu Prasad Yadav's victory in the chief ministership. According to political scientist Sanjay Kumar, this election set a different trend in caste based politics of the state of Bihar, as in this election, there were two main political blocs in the state contesting for power. Mudrika Singh Yadav was a senior most leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal from Bihar. He was the Principal General Secretary of RJD. He had served in the Lalu Prasad Yadav ministry as Health minister. Sahdeo Prasad Yadav was an Indian politician and a member of Bihar Legislative Assembly of India. He represented the Kurtha constituency in Arwal district of Bihar. He had been a Mukhiya of Chitaukhar-Jalalpur Panchayat for almost 25 years. First he became an MLA (Member of Legislative Assembly) in 1980 while being in Lok Dal party. 1980 Bihar Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in 1980, to elect members to the Bihar Legislative Assembly. Nagmani Kushwaha (born 15 Jan 1953) is an Indian politician from Bihar and Jharkhand. He is the son of another Bihar politician and Social ReformerJagdeo Prasad, in whose party Shoshit Samaj Dal, Nagmani started his career.
