Kurt Lischka
Kurt Paul Werner Lischka (16 August 1909 – 5 April 1989) was an SS official, Gestapo chief and commandant of the Security police (''Sicherheitspolizei''; SiPo) and Security Service (''Sicherheitsdienst''; SD) in Paris during the German occupation of France in World War II. Biography Lischka was the son of a bank official. He studied law and political science at the universities of Breslau and Berlin. After obtaining his law degree, he worked in district courts and in the Provincial Court of Appeal in Breslau (today, Wrocław). Lischka joined the SS on 1 June 1933, reached the rank of SS-''Sturmbannführer'' (major) in 1938 and SS-'' Obersturmbannführer'' (lieutenant colonel) on 20 April 1942. On 1 September 1935, Lischka joined the Gestapo and, in January 1940, became head of the Gestapo in Cologne. Ernst Heinrichsohn
Ernst Heinrichsohn (13 May 1920 – 29 October 1994) was a German lawyer and member of the SS who participated in the deportation of French Jews to Auschwitz during World War II. SS service Heinrichsohn was drafted for military service in 1939 but dismissed as unfit. He entered law school, but was then assigned to the Reich Security Main Office. In September 1940, he became an officer cadet employed by the Jewish section of the Sicherheitspolizei (German Security Police) in France under Theodor Dannecker. His immediate superior was Heinz Röthke. Beginning in 1943, he reported to the commander of the security police, Kurt Lischka. Herbert Hagen
Herbert Martin Hagen (20 September 1913 – August 1999) was a German SS-''Sturmbannführer'' of Nazi Germany and a convicted war criminal. Hagen served as personal assistant to the SS police chief in Paris Carl Oberg, heading the Gestapo department. Hagen was captured in 1945, but released in 1948. In 1955 he was sentenced to life imprisonment ''in absentia'' in France, after he was found guilty of being instrumental in the deportation of the Jews from France; nonetheless, he managed to avoid going to prison, and became a prominent West German industrialist. In 1980 after a change in the law to allow retrial of cases handled abroad, he was sentenced to 12 years in prison by a Cologne court, for his key role in the deportation of 73,000 Jews to the Auschwitz death camp. Serge Klarsfeld (born 17 September 1935) is a Romanian-born French activist and Nazi hunter known for documenting the Holocaust in order to establish the record and to enable the prosecution of war criminals.
