Kunming
Kunming is the capital and largest city of the province of Yunnan in China. The political, economic, communications and cultural centre of the province, Kunming is also the seat of the provincial government. During World War II, Kunming was a Chinese military center and the location of the headquarters for the US Army Forces China-Burma-India. Kunming Wujiaba International Airport, Wujiaba Airport served as the home of the Flying Tigers, First American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Republic of China Air Force, nicknamed the Flying Tigers. Chenggong District
Chenggong District () is one of seven districts of the prefecture-level city of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, Southwest China, situated on east bank of the Dian Lake. The name Chenggong is a transliteration of the word in Yi language for a basin where rice is grown. Yuantong Temple
Yuantong Temple () is an ancient Buddhist temple in Kunming, Yunnan, China. It is located in a protected natural depression and in recent years it has been expanded with funding from Thailand. In the 1950s, it hosted a grand ceremony to greet and send on the sacred teeth of the Buddha and so became important in Southeast Asia. Dongchuan District
Dongchuan District is one of seven districts of the prefecture-level city of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. The district was approved to form from the former ''Dongchuan City'' by the State Council on December 6, 1998. History Dongchuan was upgraded to a city in 1958. Jinning County
Jinning District () is one of seven districts of the prefecture-level city of Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, Southwest China. The formation of the district was approved on November 24, 2016, after the dissolution of the former ''Jinning County'' () by the State Council.
