Kungsbacka DFF
Kungsbacka DFF is a football club from Kungsbacka, in Halland County, Sweden. The club was established in 2013 and was promoted into the Women's Premier Division (Damallsvenskan) for the first time in 2018. The club play their home games at Tingbergsvallen in Kungsbacka. The team colours are orange and black. The club is affiliated to the Hallands Fotbollförbund. History Kungsbacka DFF were conceived as a collaboration between several local football clubs to bring elite women's football to the area. In December 2012, the Swedish Football Association (SvFF) gave dispensation for Tölö IF's place in Division 1 to be given to the new club. Ahead of their first season in the second level Elitettan in 2015, Kungsbacka DFF appointed prominent former national team players Johanna Almgren and Stina Segerström as their management team. Kungsbacka () (old da, Kongsbakke) is a locality and the seat of Kungsbacka Municipality in Halland County, Sweden, with 19,057 inhabitants in 2010. It is one of the most affluent parts of Sweden, in part due to its simultaneous proximity to the countryside and the large city of Gothenburg. Its mayor since 2020 is Lisa Andersson. History The first records referring to Kungsbacka as a town date from the 15th century, when it was part of Denmark. By the time it was recognised as part of Sweden (1658), the river running through the town, on which some transportation of goods took place, was almost completely overgrown and despite pleas to restore its function, this did not occur. Some trade still took place from the coast, but the town's significance as a place of naval commerce lessened over the centuries. Damallsvenskan Teams
The Damallsvenskan, Swedish for ''ladies all-Swedish'' and also known as OBOS Damallsvenskan for sponsorship reasons, is the highest division of women's football in Sweden. It is also referred to as the women's Allsvenskan. The term Allsvenskan alone is used to reference the men's division. The division consists of a league of 14 teams. From 2013, the Damallsvenskan began operating on a system of promotion and relegation with the Elitettan. The two lowest placed teams are relegated to the Elitettan, and the two highest placed teams from the Elitettan are promoted in their place. Starting with the 2022 season the league has been expanded from 12 to 14 teams. The first Swedish women's national championship was played in 1973. 2019 Damallsvenskan
The 2019 Damallsvenskan was the 32nd season of the Swedish women's association football top division, Damallsvenskan. It began on 13 April 2019, and ended on 26 October. Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC are the defending champions, having won the competition in 2018. Kungsbacka DFF and KIF Örebro DFF were promoted from 2018 Elitettan after finishing first and second respectively. Kungsbacka makes their first appearance in Damallsvenskan. Stina Segerström
Stina Segerström (born 17 June 1982) is a Swedish football defender who last played for Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC and the Swedish national team. She was voted rookie of the year (Sweden) in 2006. She has captained KIF Örebro DFF and Kopparbergs/Göteborg FC. Early life Segerström spent her early years being raised in Vintrosa. As a youth, she spent two years in Pakistan when her family moved there as aid workers for Save the Children. Upon her family's return to Sweden, they moved to Örebro and Segerström began playing football with Örebro SK at age 11.
