Kulavadhu
''Kulavadhu'' () is a 1963 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by T. V. Singh Takur and produced by A. C. Narasimha Murthy & Friends. The film stars Rajkumar, Leelavathi, Balakrishna, Narasimharaju and K. S. Ashwath. The film has musical score by G. K. Venkatesh. The famous Ugadi song ''Yuga Yugadi Kaledaru'' from this movie is a still hit song. The movie is based on the novel of same name by Krishnamoorthy Puranik. This was Rajkumar's second movie to be based on a novel - the first being '' Karuneye Kutumbada Kannu'' (1962). Both the movies were based on novels by Krishnamoorthy Puranik. Leelavathi (actress)
Leena Sequeira (1937 – 8 December 2023), known mononymously as Leelavathi, was an Indian actress, producer who worked predominantly in Kannada and Tamil films, in addition to few Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, and Tulu films. After having her stint at the theatre, Leelavathi made her film debut in a small role as child artist in '' Nagakannika'' (1949). She went on to act in more than 600 films (more than 400 in Kannada alone) throughout her career spanning over five decades. Leelavathi is known for many memorable performances as a lead actress in films such as ''Rani Honnamma'', '' Bhakta Kumbara'', '' Valar Pirai'', ''Mana Mecchida Madadi'' and '' Santha Thukaram''. Krishnamoorthy Puranik
Krishnamoorthy Puranik (5 September 1911 – 12 November 1985) was an Indian writer and poet who wrote in Kannada. He was the principal of a government high school in Gokak and was awarded the Karnataka Sahitya Academy Award for his work ''Mannina Magalu'' (Daughter of the Soil). Puranik was born in Bilagi, a village in the Bagalkot district. He was a creative fiction writer. Some of his writings were made into successful Kannada and Tamil movies. Balakrishna (Kannada Actor)
Tirumakudalu Narasipura Balakrishna (2 November 1913 – 19 July 1995) was an Indian actor in Kannada cinema. He was said to have a hearing problem and some say that he was totally deaf. However, he would catch the lip movements of the artists and would narrate the dialogues spontaneously. He was popular for his comic and villainous roles in films like '' Kantheredu Nodu'' (1961), '' Muriyada Mane'' (1964), '' Bangaarada Manushya'' (1972), '' Gandhada Gudi'' (1973) and '' Kaamana Billu'' (1983) and appeared in numerous versatile roles over a hundred films that starred Rajkumar in the lead role. Raaga
A raga ( ; , ; ) is a melodic framework for improvisation in Indian classical music akin to a melodic mode. It is central to classical Indian music. Each raga consists of an array of melodic structures with musical motifs; and, from the perspective of the Indian tradition, the resulting music has the ability to "colour the mind" as it engages the emotions of the audience. Each raga provides the musician with a musical framework within which to improvise.
