Juscelino Kubitschek
Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira (; 12 September 1902 – 22 August 1976), also known by his initials JK, was a prominent Brazilian politician who served as the 21st president of Brazil from 1956 to 1961. His term was marked by economic prosperity and political stability, being most known for the construction of a new capital, Brasília. Early life and career Kubitschek was born into a poor family in Diamantina, Minas Gerais, Diamantina, Minas Gerais. His father, João César de Oliveira (1872–1905), who died when Juscelino was two years old, was a traveling salesman. He was raised by his mother, a schoolteacher named Júlia Kubitschek (1873–1973). Sarah Luísa Lemos Kubitschek de Oliveira GCC • GCIH, known as '' Dona'' Sarah Kubitschek (October 5, 1908 – February 4, 1996) was a Brazilian charity worker and First Lady of Brazil from 1956 to 1961, wife of President Juscelino Kubitschek. She was the founder of the Organização de Pioneiras Sociais (Organization of Social Pioneers), which carried out charity works in Minas Gerais, including the founding of schools and daycares in the countryside, and distribution of clothing, food, wheelchairs and mechanical devices for the physically disabled. In addition, she set up flying hospitals in most of the states and hospital boats made in Germany to the Amazon. Wilhelm Kubitschek
Wilhelm Kubitschek (28 June 1858, in Preßburg – 2 October 1936, in Vienna) was an Austrian classical historian, epigrapher and numismatist. From 1875 he studied history, epigraphy and archaeology at the University of Vienna, where his teachers included Otto Hirschfeld and Otto Benndorf. Afterwards, he furthered his education in Berlin as a student of Theodor Mommsen. From 1881 he taught classes at gymnasiums in Hollabrunn and Vienna, and in 1887 qualified as a university lecturer in ancient history. In 1896 he became an associate professor at the University of Graz, and during the following year, returned to Vienna as curator of the Imperial Coin Collection at the Kunsthistorisches Museum. In Vienna, he also taught classes in Roman history, epigraphy and numismatics at the university. In 1916 he succeeded Eugen Bormann as a full professor of Roman archaeology and epigraphy.
