Krusha Peak
Krusha Peak (, ) is the peak rising to 2800 m in Owen Ridge, southern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, surmounting Bolgrad Glacier to the southeast and Brook Glacier to the northwest. The peak is named after the Bulgarian educator Zahariy Krusha (1808-1881). Location Krusha Peak is located at , which is 6.94 km east of Chaplin Peak (1978 m), 3.87 km south of Mount Strybing (3200 m), 2.88 km west-southwest of Mount Allen (3430 m) and 4.83 km northwest of Mount Liptak (3100 m). Chaplin Peak
Chaplin Peak () is the peak rising to 1978 m on the west side of Bender Glacier, 5 mi southwest of Mount Craddock and 1.3 miles north of Gilbert Spur in the Sentinel Range of Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica. Surmounting Nimitz Glacier to the west. The peak was named by US-ACAN in 2006 after Stephen Neville Chaplin, geologist and member of the Omega Foundation High Antarctic GPS Expedition 2005-06 that conducted GPS surveys of peaks in the area, including this peak. The Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica (CGA) of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) is the authoritative international gazetteer containing all Antarctic toponyms published in national gazetteers, plus basic information about those names and the relevant geographical features. Antarctic Place-names Commission
The Antarctic Place-names Commission was established by the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute in 1994, and since 2001 has been a body affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Bulgaria), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria. The Commission approves Bulgarian place names in Antarctica, which are formally given by the List of Presidents of Bulgaria, President of the Republic according to the Constitution of Bulgaria, Bulgarian Constitution (Art. 98) and the established international practice. Bulgarian names in Antarctica Geographical names in Antarctica reflect the history and practice of Antarctic exploration. The nations involved in Antarctic research give new names to nameless geographical features for the purposes of orientation, logistics, and international scientific cooperation. Mount Liptak
Mount Liptak () is a mountain, high with twin summits, located southeast of Mount Craddock in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. It surmounts Bolgrad Glacier to the west and Kornicker Glacier to the east. It was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos from 1957 to 1959, and was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for L.H. Liptak, an aviation machinist mate in the U.S. Navy who served as plane captain on the first reconnaissance flights to this vicinity in January 1958. Mount Liptak was first successfully climbed on December 28, 2012, by Pachi Ibarra, Ralf Laier and Todd Passey. Mount Allen (Antarctica)
''Mount Allen is a mountain (3,430 m) located 5.2 mi southeast of Mount Craddock in Owen Ridge, the southernmost portion of the main ridge of Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica. The peak surmounts Saltzman Glacier to the north, Kornicker Glacier to the southeast, Bolgrad Glacier to the southwest and Brook Glacier to the west. It was mapped by the USGS from surveys and USN air photos in 1957–59. It was named by the US-ACAN for Lt. Forrest M. Mount Strybing
Mount Strybing () is a mountain (3,200 m) standing on Owen Ridge 3 nautical miles (6 km) southeast of Mount Craddock in the south part of Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains. It is linked to Mount Craddock by Karnare Col, and surmounts Saltzman Glacier to the northeast, Brook Glacier to the southwest, and Severinghaus Glacier to the west-northwest. The peak was first mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and U.S. Navy air photos from 1957 to 1959. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for M/Sgt. Henry Strybing, a United States Marine Corps (USMC) navigator on reconnaissance flights of R4D aircraft to this region in the 1957–58 season. The R4D aircraft, named "Charger" crashed landed after the discovery and a rescue crew helped to repair the aircraft on site. Brook Glacier
Brook Glacier () is a glacier that flows westward between Mount Strybing, Mount Allen and Krusha Peak on the west side of Owen Ridge in southern Sentinel Range, Ellsworth Mountains in Antarctica, and joins Bender Glacier east of Chaplin Peak. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (2006) after Edward J. Brook, Professor of Geosciences, Oregon State University; U.S. Antarctic Project investigator of Antarctic paleoclimate in numerous field seasons from 1988; Chair, U.S. National Ice Core Working Group for use of Antarctic ice cores for research purposes, 2004–05. Bolgrad Glacier
Bolgrad Glacier (, ) is the 7.4 km long and 5.7 km wide glacier on the west side of Owen Ridge in southern Sentinel Range in Ellsworth Mountains, Antarctica, situated south of Brook Glacier and north of Sirma Glacier. It drains west-southwestwards from Mount Allen, Mount Liptak and Mount Southwick, and flows south of Krusha Peak to leave the range and join Bender Glacier east of Gilbert Spur. The glacier is named after the Bulgarian High School of Bolgrad, a major Bulgarian education centre in Ukraine established in 1858. Location Bolgrad Glacier is centred at .
