Aaron J. Simpson Smith (born 1973) is an American house music DJ, record producer, and singer from Chicago, Illinois. He is best known for recording a track called "Dancin which features female vocalist Luvli. The track was recorded in 2004 and remixed in 2005 with JJ Flores & Steve Smooth. It would then debut at number 21 on ''Billboard''s Hot Dance Airplay chart the week ending January 2, 2006. In 2013, the French duo Krono remixed the song under the Moody Recordings label. After the release, the song gained a new wave of popularity. In 2019, "Dancin was certified silver by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), followed by Gold in 2021 and Platinum in 2022. The music video from the Krono Remix of Dancin was filmed in Smáralind, Iceland and directed by Elvar Gunnarsson. The Krono Remix of Dancin peaked at number 1 on Apple Music in Mexico on November 10, 2019. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' EPOS systems. All major record shops, digital retailers and streaming services contribute to the chart, accounting for over 95% of the market.
