Krodham
''Krodham'' () is 1982 Indian Tamil-language crime thriller film, directed by A. Jagannathan. The screenplay and story were written by Prem Menon and dialogue written by K. Rangarajan respectively. Music was by Shankar–Ganesh. The film stars Prem Menon, Rani Padmini and S. A. Ashokan. Inspired by the American film '' Death Wish'' (1974), it revolves around a man who becomes a ruthless vigilante after his wife is murdered by street punks, after which he randomly goes out and kills would-be muggers on the streets after dark. In 2000, Prem Menon acted and directed the sequel to this film ''Krodham 2''. Plot Prem is an architect living in Madras with his wife Indhu and sister Subha and her husband Siva. Prem Menon (actor)
Prem Menon (born 15 October 1953) is an Indian businessman, former actor and director, who has appeared in Tamil films. He became known with his role in the film ''Krodham'' (1982) and has since regularly produced and made his own projects. Career Prem Kumar Menon is the son of entrepreneur K. T. B. Menon, who had vast business interests and investments in Kuwait. Prem Menon heads company Laksola, which produces insulating materials, and his financial success prompted him to pursue other interests in Tamil films. He has subsequently worked in the film industry as an actor director, screenwriter and producer, specialising in making action-thriller films. He made a breakthrough in films by producing and starring in A. Jagannathan's ''Krodham'' (1982), before helming and playing the lead role in a series of action films in the early 1990s including ''Vetri Karangal'' (1991) and '' Veeramani'' (1994). Shankar–Ganesh is an Indian music director duo who has worked on Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies for around 50 years. Career They started as assistants to Tamil music composers M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy in 1964 and later the duo assisted M.S.Viswanathan alone from 1965 till 1967. Kannadhasan started his own film Titled "Nagarathil Thirudargal" in which he introduced Shankar Ganesh as music directors. Rani Padmini (1962 – 15 October 1986) was an Indian actress during the 1980s in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and a few Hindi films. She entered the film field with ''Sangharsham'' and played notable roles in '' Parankimala'', ''Sharam'', ''Bandhanam'' and '' Kilikonchal''. She was murdered on 15 October 1986 at her home, along with her mother, by three of her employees. Personal life She was born to Chaudri and Indirakumari at Anna Nagar, Madras.
