Kristján Örn Sigurðsson
Kristján Örn Sigurðsson (born 7 October 1980 in Akureyri) is an Icelandic footballer who played as a defender. He is a player-assistant manager for Þór. Club career He started his career at his local club ÍF Völsungur Húsavik, and moved to Stoke City in England as a teenager. Failing to grab a place on the first team, he returned to Iceland to play for KR. After the 2004 season he moved to SK Brann in Bergen, Norway. He showed acceptable defensive skills, but clear weaknesses in his passing game and general offensive play from his right back position. Before the 2006 season, Kristján was moved into the central defence, after both Ragnvald Soma and Paul Scharner were sold after the 2005 season. Hønefoss BK
Hønefoss Ballklubb is a Norwegian football club from Hønefoss, founded in 1895. The club was a part of the multi-sports club L/F Hønefoss, which folded in 2008. After 11 years in 1. divisjon, the second tier of Norwegian football, Hønefoss was promoted to Tippeligaen in 2009, where they finished 14th in 2010 Tippeligaen and was relegated after a relegation-playoff against Fredrikstad. In 2011, Hønefoss won the 1. divisjon and was promoted to the Tippeligaen for the second time in three years. Their second spell in Tippeligaen lasted for two seasons, and they were again relegated to the 1. divisjon in 2013. Paul Scharner
Paul Josef Herbert Scharner (born 11 March 1980) is an Austrian retired footballer. He operated mainly as a defender, although he could play almost every midfield position as well. He was known for his great positional versatility and haircuts. Scharner started his professional career with Austrian Bundesliga sides Austria Wien and SV Salzburg, before moving to Norwegian Tippeligaen in late 2004, starting for SK Brann. In January 2006, he entered the Premier League where he played for over six years, playing for Wigan Athletic and West Bromwich Albion, respectively. After a short time as a free agent, he transferred to Bundesliga veteran club Hamburger SV in August 2012, before returning to Wigan Athletic on loan in January 2013 - winning the FA Cup. He announced his retirement, at age 33, in September 2013. The Football League Second Division was the second level division in the English football league system between 1892 and 1992. Following the foundation of the FA Premier League, the Football League divisions were renumbered and the third tier became known as the Football League Second Division, while the second level was branded "First Division," below the Premiership. The Football League First Division was the top division of the Football League in England from 1888 until the end of the 1991–92 season, when its teams broke away to form the Premier League. Lárus Orri Sigurðsson (born 4 June 1973), known in English as ''Larus Sigurdsson'', is an Icelandic former professional footballer, who played most notably for Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion in England. Club career Sigurðsson was born in Akureyri and played with Þór Akureyri along with his father Sigurdur Larusson, who later became the manager. His cousin Þorvaldur Örlygsson who was playing in England for Stoke City recommended him to manager Lou Macari and he joined Stoke on trial. Lárus impressed Macari so much that he played him against Portsmouth before he had signed him. He played 23 times in 1994–95 and his performances were so good he won the player of the year award. He was an ever-present in 1995–96 as Stoke reached the play-offs where they lost to Leicester City. He missed just one match in 1996–97 in what was the club's final season at the Victoria Ground.
