Jón Kristinsson (chess Player)
Jón Kristinsson (born May 7, 1936, Reykjavík) is an Icelandic architect. Biography Kristinsson matriculated from Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík in 1956. He then studied architecture at Delft University of Technology. In 1966, Kristinsson together with his architect colleague and wife Riet Reitsema co-founded an architecture and engineering office in Deventer. During the period 1992–2001 Kristinsson together with Kees Duijvestein held a joint professorship in Environmental technique and design in the Faculty of Architecture at Delft University of Technology. Following retirement in 2001, Kristinsson has worked on innovations at the Architecten- en ingenieursbureau kristinsson bv office in Deventer. Birkir Kristinsson
Birkir Kristinsson (born 15 August 1964) is an Icelandic former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career He started his career with local Vestmannaeyjar team ÍBV, and also played with Einherji from Vopnafjordur, KA from Akureyri, ÍA and Fram in the Icelandic league before moving to Norway with SK Brann in 1996, where he is still considered as a hero, after his efforts in the cup winner's cup in 1997, where SK Brann reached the quarter-finals. He moved to English club Birmingham City and after failing to make an impression there, he moved on to spells with Swedish side IFK Norrköping, Bolton Wanderers and Austrian club Lustenau before making a return to ÍBV. In December 2000 he moved to Stoke City where his brother Magnús Kristinsson was a member of the Icelandic board at Stoke. Rúnar Kristinsson (born 5 September 1969) is an Icelandic former professional footballer who played for Lokeren, Lillestrøm SK, Örgryte IS and KR Reykjavík. He is the current manager of Fram. His son, Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson, is a goalkeeper, playing for Danish side F.C. Copenhagen. Club career Rúnar first tried out football at the small club Leiknir, before he started practicing at KR Reykjavík, Iceland's oldest and most successful club, where he spent his youth career. His performances at the country's highest level attracted foreign clubs, and he was eventually transferred to Örgryte IS in Sweden. Halfway in the 1997 season, he moved across the border to Lillestrøm SK of Norway. Rúnar was a success there, thus in 2000, he moved to K.S.C. Lokeren in Belgium where he was very successful.
