Kristina Teachout
Kristina Danielle Teachout (born September 13, 2005) is an American taekwondo athlete. She represented the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the 67 kg contest. Career Teachout made her senior international debut for the United States in November 2022 in the women's welterweight event at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships held in Guadalajara, Mexico. In June 2023, she competed in the women's welterweight event at the 2023 World Taekwondo Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan. In October 2023, she competed at the 2023 Pan American Games and won a bronze medal in the 67 kg event. She won gold in the 2023 World Taekwondo Grand Prix challenge, Costa Rica Open and Dominican Open and silver at the Spanish Open and Pan Am Series. World Taekwondo Grand Prix
The World Taekwondo Grand Prix is a taekwondo competition introduced by the World Taekwondo Federation in 2013 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic taekwondo tournament. It consists of four competitions per year in each Olympic weight category event. Olympic events occur at approximately half the weight classes as WTF-organised tournaments. Venues The most common format of the event has been a series of three Grand Prix, followed by a Grand Final. The first Grand Prix in 2013, and the event in 2016, were single leg competitions, while the 2018 edition had a 4th Grand Prix leg before the Grand Final. Viviana Márton Kiss (born 16 February 2006) is a Hungarian taekwondo athlete. She won the Olympic gold medal in the women's 67 kg in the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. Early life The daughter of Zsolt and Barbara Márton, her father formerly did kickboxing in Budapest and her mother played handball. Her parents moved to the Canary Islands in the early 2000s. The 2024 Pan American Qualification Tournament for Taekwondo at the 2024 Summer Olympics, Paris Olympic Games was held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on 9 and 10 April 2024.
