Early life Kristina Lugn was born in Tierp and grew up in Skövde where her father, Major-General Robert Lugn, served in the Skaraborg Armoured Regiment, and her mother, Brita-Stina, was a lecturer. Career Kristina Lugn published eight collections of poems from 1972 with her debut ''Om jag inte''. She also wrote drama and appeared in other media, for instance hosting the show Oförutsett which was broadcast on SVT in 1987. She hosted the show together with Jörn Donner and Bert Karlsson. After the death of actor Allan Edwall in 1997, Lugn assumed the leadership of his small independent theatre Teater Brunnsgatan Fyra in Stockholm, where she also staged several of her own plays. Tierp () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Tierp Municipality, Uppsala County, Sweden with 6,143 inhabitants in 2018. Communications Tierp is connected to Uppsala and Gävle by commuter train Mälartåget and the new (2007) section of highway European route E4, E4 passes just west of Tierp. Eleonora Luthander
Eleonora Luthander (''née'' Damjanović; 9 February 1954 - 25 August 2021), born in Kruševac, Yugoslavia, was a Swedish and Serbian poet, columnist and Translation, translator. Biography Luthander studied at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade. Between 1986 and 1994 she lived on the Adriatic island of Hvar in Croatia where she made her debut as a writer in 1993 with the book ''Žvončići sreće.'' She has published over 30 books and translations partly through her Swedish book publisher Ord & Visor. She has translated contemporary Swedish poets in Serbian; Kristina Lugn, Bruno K. Öijer, Lukas Moodysson and Ulf Lundell and haiku poetry from Dag Hammarskjöld. Her poetry collections ''Diktogram'' and ''Vägen till Gdinj'' (Road to Gdinj) are listed in the Swedish Academy's Nobel Library. This is a list of members of the Swedish Academy by seat number. The dates shown indicate the terms of the members, who generally serve for life except for Gustaf Mauritz Armfelt who was excluded twice. On 2 May 2018, the Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Swedish King amended the rules of the academy and made it possible for members to resign. The new rules also states that a member who has been inactive in the work of the academy for more than two years, can be asked to resign. Following the new rules, the first members to formally be granted permission to leave the Academy and vacating their chairs were Kerstin Ekman, Klas Östergren, Sara Stridsberg and Lotta Lotass. Sven-David Sandström
Sven-David Sandström (30 October 1942 – 10 June 2019) was a Swedish classical composer of operas, oratorios, ballets, and choral works, as well as orchestral works. Life and career Sandström was born in Motala and studied art history and musicology at Stockholm University. He also studied musical composition at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm. He was a faculty member at the Royal College of Music, Stockholm, and Indiana University Bloomington's Jacobs School of Music, where he taught for fifteen years. He died in the Högalids district of Stockholm. Among his works are ''The High Mass'', a Requiem, concertos for flute, guitar, piano, and cello, and the 2001 opera, '' Jeppe: The Cruel Comedy'' on a libretto and originally directed by Claes Fellbom, who commissioned the work for the centennial of the Swedish opera company. Selma Lagerlöf Prize
The Selma Lagerlöf Prize is a Swedish literary prize awarded to an author writing in the spirit of Selma Lagerlöf, the first woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. The prize was founded by the Sunne Municipality in Värmland County in 1983 and has been awarded annually since 1984. Recipients receive 100,000 Swedish kronor.
