Kristin Brudevoll
Kristin Brudevoll (born 4 January 1943) is a Norwegian literary scholar and organizational leader. She was the director of the Norla (Norwegian Literature Abroad). Early life On 4 January 1943, Brudevoll was born in Lillehammer, Norway. In 1948, she moved with her family to Drammen. She was a daughter of Øyvinn Bjarne Sannerud and Gerd Sofie Schye. In 1964 she married engineer Ulf Aakre Brudevoll. Education Brudevoll studied literature at the University of Arizona, and teacher's education in Oslo. Career Brudevoll is the director of the Norla (Norwegian Literature Abroad) from 1978 to 2006. Brudevoll has been a member of various committees for international cultural cooperation. Lillehammer
Lillehammer () is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Gudbrandsdal. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Lillehammer. Some of the more notable villages in the municipality include Fåberg, Hunderfossen, Jørstadmoen, Vingnes, and Vingrom. Fritt Ord Award consists of two prizes awarded by the Fritt Ord Foundation (''Stiftelsen Fritt Ord''). Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. is the largest Norwegian biographical encyclopedia. The first edition (NBL1) was issued between 1921 and 1983, including 19 volumes and 5,100 articles. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957.
