Kristian Campbell
Kristian Eron Campbell (born June 28, 2002) is an American professional baseball second baseman and outfielder for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career Campbell attended George Walton Comprehensive High School in Marietta, Georgia. He lettered in baseball all four years of high school. In 2019, his team won the Region 5 Division 7A Championship. In 2020, he batted .373 with a .572 on base percentage and 30 stolen bases. After finishing high school in 2021, he was ranked as the 125th best prospect by Perfect Game but was not selected in the 2021 Major League Baseball Draft. He played college baseball at Georgia Tech. He redshirted his first season, then played for the Duluth Huskies in summer league baseball. The Duluth Huskies are an Amateur baseball in the United States, amateur baseball team playing in the Northwoods League, a Collegiate summer baseball, collegiate summer baseball league. They have been operating in Duluth, Minnesota since 2003. The Huskies play home games at Wade Stadium in Duluth, which was built in 1941. Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two sports league, leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL. The Portland Sea Dogs are a Minor League Baseball team based in Portland, Maine, playing in the Eastern League (1938–present), Eastern League. 2023 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2023 Major League Baseball draft took place on July 9–11, 2023, in Seattle. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. For the first time, a draft lottery was used to set a portion of the draft order.
