Kreon
Kreon is a fictional character featured in comic books published by DC Comics, primarily in association with the Green Lantern Corps. He first appeared in ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 3) #22 (March 1992). Fictional character biography Kreon is a Teban warlord who previously lost an arm and eye in combat and now seeks to end wars rather than start them, in contrast to his militaristic species. He recruits Star Sapphire, who kills over a dozen men before being subdued. Kreon is shunned by his fellow Chieftains, but Hal Jordan sees potential in him and recruits him into the Green Lantern Corps. Kreon comes into conflict with fellow trainee Boodikka, who he views as barbaric and lacking in discipline. However, the two come to respect one another after John Stewart forces them to face psychic manifestations of their fears. Kreon is among several Lanterns kidnapped by the Manhunters. Boodikka
Boodikka is a character appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, and a member of the Green Lantern Corps. Her name is a play on the ancient British warrior-queen Boudica. Publication history Boodikka first appeared in ''Green Lantern'' (vol. 3) #20 and was created by Gerard Jones, Pat Broderick, Romeo Tanghal, Albert De Guzman, and Anthony Tollin. Fictional character biography Boodikka is a member of the "Bellatrix Bombers" mercenary group who Chaselon recruits to join the reconstituted Green Lantern Corps. Initially, Hal Jordan is dismayed and put off by Boodikka's aggressive attitude. Kilowog is impressed by Boodikka and decides to train her. Boodikka proves to be a skilled power ring wielder and a worthwhile addition to the Green Lantern Corps. Nevertheless, her problem with authority poses a continuing problem. Green Lantern (comic Book)
''Green Lantern'' is an ongoing American comic-book series featuring the DC Comics heroes of the Green Lantern, same name. The character's first incarnation, Alan Scott, appeared in ''All-American Comics'' #16 (July 1940), and was later spun off into the first volume of ''Green Lantern'' in 1941. After 38 issues, that series was cancelled in 1949. When the Silver Age Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, was introduced, the character starred in a new volume of ''Green Lantern'' starting in 1960. Although ''Green Lantern'' is considered a mainstay in the DC Comics stable, the series has been cancelled and rebooted several times. When sales began slipping in the early 1990s, DC Comics instituted a controversial editorial mandate that turned Jordan into the supervillain Parallax (comics), Parallax and created a new protagonist named Kyle Rayner.
