Kraus (born September 1, 2001) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competed full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 19 Chevrolet Silverado for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Gregor Konrad Michael Kraus ''KRAUSIOR LEGENDA'' (9 May 1841 in Bad Orb in Hesse-Nassau – 14 November 1915 in Würzburg) was a 19th-century German botanist and plant ecologist. Kraus studied medicine and natural history at the University of Würzburg. He became inspired by the professor of botany Julius von Sachs. Thus, he specialized in that discipline and obtained a doctorate degree in 1866. He first became professor and director of the botanic garden at the University of Erlangen, where he stayed until 1872. In 1872, he succeeded Anton de Bary as professor and director of the botanic garden at the University of Halle. He remained in that position until 1898, when he succeeded his former mentor Sachs at the University of Würzburg. There he stayed for the remainder of his professional life. Georg Melchior Kraus (26 July 1737, in Frankfurt am Main – 5 November 1806, in Weimar) was a German painter. He was a co-founder of the Weimar Princely Free Drawing School, together with Friedrich Justin Bertuch, in 1776. Life He was the sixth of nine children, five of whom died while infants. His parents, Cornelia and Johann, operated an inn called "Zur weissen Schlangen" (At the White Snakes) in Frankfurt. Cornelia died when he was eight, and Johann remarried that same year. Friedrich Kraus (31 May 18581 March 1936) was an Austrian internist. He was born in Bodenbach, Bohemia and died in Berlin. He is remembered for his achievements in the field of electrocardiography and his work in colloid chemistry. Academic career He studied medicine at the German University in Prague, where he subsequently worked as an assistant at Otto Kahler's medical clinic. In 1890 he obtained his habilitation, and not long afterwards was appointed director of the ''Rudolph-Spital'' in Vienna. Ernst Kraus (June 8, 1863 – September 5, 1941) was a German dramatic tenor best known for his performances in the operas of Richard Wagner. He decided to embark on an operatic career when he heard leading singers performing in Nuremberg. He studied voice first in Milan with Cesare Galliera and then in Munich with Anna Schimon-Regan. Kraus debuted in Mannheim as Tamino in '' Die Zauberflöte'' on March 26, 1893. He first came to the United States in 1894, where he was engaged as principal tenor of the Damrosch Opera Company; he returned in 1895.
