Kratingdaeng Racing Team
Kratingdaeng Racing Team is a Thai auto racing team based in Bangkok, Thailand. The team has raced in the TCR International Series, since 2016. Having previously raced in the Thailand Super Series and the VLN amongst others. Thailand Super Series The team made their debut in the 2009 Thailand Super Series, with team owner and racing driver Sak Nana. Nana finished seventh in the standings in 2009 and 2010. They still races in the series today, having several driver in different categories. The team is also sponsored by Red Bull Thailand. For 2016 the team entered the new TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship, a new category in the Thailand Super Series. The team entered three SEAT León Cup Racer's for Alexander Mies, Grant Supaphongs and Chen Jian Hong. TCR International Series
The TCR International Series was an international touring car championship. The championship was promoted by World Sporting Consulting (WSC), founded by former World Touring Car Championship manager Marcello Lotti. It was marketed as a cost-effective spin-off of the WTCC, targeted at C-segment hatchbacks production-based touring cars. The title TCR follows the naming convention now used by the FIA to classify the cars that compete in touring car racing, with TC1 referring to the top tier as used by the FIA WTCC and TC2 referring to the legacy cars which principally compete in the FIA ETCC. On 6th December 2017, FIA's World Motorsport Council announced that the series will merge with World Touring Car Championship and European Touring Car Cup starting in 2018. Grant Supaphongs
Grant Supaphongs (born 12 April 1976) is a Thai racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship. Having previously competed in the Thailand Super Series. Racing career Supaphongs began his career in 2008 in the Thailand Super Series, he raced in the Super 2000 class for three seasons up until 2010. Winning the championship every season for that period. After a four-year hiatus, he returned to racing in 2014 where he switched to GTC class in the Thailand Super Series, he finished second in the standings that year. Before winning the championship in 2015. He switched to the all new 2016 TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship the following year. Alexander Mies
Alexander Mies (born 25 June 1992) is a German racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series, TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship and the VLN. Having previously competed in the BMW M235i Racing Cup Belgium and German Slalom Championship amongst others. Racing career Mies began his career in 2000 in Karting, he raced there until 2007. Switching to the German Slalom Championship in 2009, finishing second in the Junior standings that year. In 2010 his switched to the German Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring series, he has won the SP3 class twice at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 2011 and 2013, also winning the VLN Junior Trophy in 2013. Chen Jian Hong
Chen Jian Hong (born 23 August 1975) is a Taiwanese racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series and TCR Thailand Touring Car Championship. Having previously competed in the Thailand Super Series and the RAAT 6 Hours amongst others. Racing career Chen began his career in 2008 in the Thailand Super Series, he raced in the S1500 class, finishing second in 2008 before winning the championship in 2009. He also won the Toyota Yaris Cup in 2009, continuing in the series in 2010, he finished second in standings that year. Switching to the Thai RAAT 6 Hours series in 2011, winning Division 2 from 2011 to 2013. Switching to Division 1 for 2014, he won the class in both 2014 and 2015. The 2016 TCR International Series was the second season of the TCR International Series. Stefano Comini successfully defended his title, beating his nearest challenger James Nash by 2.5 points. Craft-Bamboo Racing were crowned teams' champions beating Leopard Racing with 73 points margin, while Seat Léon TCR won the models' championship.
