The House of Krasiński (plural: Krasińscy) is an old Szlachta, Polish noble family, whose members held the title of Count in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, granted to them on 29 June 1856 by Franz Joseph I of Austria, Franz Joseph I. The name is derived from the village of Krasne, Masovian Voivodeship, Krasne in Masovia. The family traces its origins to the 14th century. Its members have been landowners and politically active in Masovia, Lithuania, and Galicia (Eastern Europe), Galicia, now in Poland. The Krasiński family has produced officers, politicians (including voivodes of Poland and members of the Senate of Poland), and bishops. Jan Dobrogost Krasiński
Jan Dobrogost Bonawentura Krasiński (', 10 June 1639 – 21 February 1717) was a Polish nobleman ( szlachcic). Biography He was the son of Jan Kazimierz Krasiński and Ursula Grzybowska. In his youth he studied in the Netherlands and France. Jan became a Royal Colonel (''pułkownik królewski'') in 1665, and became Recorder of the Crown and voivode of Płock Voivodeship in 1688. He was also starost of Łomża, Warsaw, Nowe Miasto Korczyn, Przasnysz, Sztum, and Opinogóra Górna. In 1673, he took part in the victorious Battle of Khotyn. Ludwik Krasiński of Ślepowron (1609 in Ciechanów, Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth – 1644) was a Polish royal courtier, the castellan of Ciechanów and, in 1637, the starosta of Płock. Stanisław Krasiński (1585–1649)
Stanislaw Krasiński (c. 1585–1649) was a Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth, Polish-Lithuanian nobleman (szlachcic) and politician. He was a known jurist: judge of the Ciechanów Land from 1627, konfederacja judge during the interregnum of 1632; elected twice a deputy judge of the Treasury Tribinal in Radom, in 1633, elected as the Commissioner for the Sejm Boundary Commission in Masovia and also the same year, Chief Justice of the Crown Tribunal of Piotrków. Krasiński was Deputy to Sejm in the years 1634, 1635 and 1638, as well as participant of the Royal elections in Poland#Procedure, coronation sejms of 1633 and 1649. Ślepowron Coat Of Arms
Ślepowron is a Polish heraldry, Polish coat of arms. It was used by several szlachta families in the times of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. From the fifteenth century, the descendants of the Ślepowron family began to use names taken from their lands. This led to many different surnames being created within one family, symbolically united under the Korwin coat of arms, Korwin (raven) coat of arms, which is thus unique in Polish heraldry. Wincenty Krasiński
Count Wincenty Krasiński (5 April 1782 – 24 November 1858) was a Polish nobleman (szlachcic), political activist and military leader. He was the father of Zygmunt Krasiński, one of Poland's Three Bards—Poland's greatest romantic poets. Life His military career began at the age of eight in 1791 in the National cavalry. He advanced in rank to Chorąży and Lieutenant in 1793, being only ten at the time. Although this was more a military school service than a real combat experience, he later became a brave and capable commander. After the partitions of Poland, he became an enthusiastic supporter of Napoleon Bonaparte. As the French Army entered occupied Prussian Poland, Wincenty Krasiński created a cavalry squadron at his own expense. He participated in Napoleon's Campaigns from 1807 to 1814.
