Krasimir Balakov
Krasimir Genchev Balakov (, ; born 29 March 1966) is a former Bulgarian footballer and manager. A former attacking midfielder, he was a key member of the Bulgaria national team that finished fourth in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He is considered as second only to Hristo Stoichkov among Bulgarian men's footballers of his generation. Club career Balakov began his club career at the local Etar Veliko Tarnovo, before transferring to Sporting Clube de Portugal in 1990, playing alongside future Ballon d'Or recipient Luís Figo, his compatriot Yordanov, and future two-time Champions League winner Paulo Sousa. Though Sporting Clube de Portugal had a quality squad, Balakov only won the 1994–95 Portuguese Cup during his time at the club. Krasimir Petkov Chomakov (; born 8 June 1977 in Plovdiv) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Chomakov is a former Bulgarian international and played with Maritsa Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia, Ravenna and Lecce. In 2002, after a short spell at Greek side Panionios, he opted to return to Italy and signed for then-Serie D club Boca San Lazzaro, where he played in a more attacking role, scoring 5 goals in 5 seasons (four in Serie D, plus one in Serie C2). Krasimir Simeonov Kochev (; 4 May 1974 – 23 January 2025) was a Bulgarian amateur freestyle wrestler, who competed in the men's heavyweight category. Considered one of Bulgaria's top freestyle wrestlers in his decade, Kochev has claimed two career medals (one silver and one bronze) at the World Championships (2001 and 2003), picked up a bronze at the 2005 European Championships in Varna, and achieved top seventeen finishes in two editions of the Olympic Games (2000 and 2004). Throughout his sporting career, Kochev trained as a member of the freestyle wrestling team for Slavia Sport Club in Sofia, under his head coach Simeon Shcherev. Krasimir Smilenov Bezinski (; 29 June 1961 – 22 April 2019) was a Bulgarian footballer and football coach. Bezinski's professional playing career as a defender spanned nearly 20 years, during which he played for five clubs: Pirin Blagoevgrad, CSKA Sofia, Portimonense, Maccabi Ironi Ashdod and Hapoel Petah Tikva. He also made 21 appearances for the Bulgaria national team. Playing career Born in Blagoevgrad, Bezinski began his career at local club Pirin, where he played 57 matches between 1978 and 1981. With Pirin he was a losing finalist in the 1980–81 Bulgarian Cup. Then he left to join CSKA Sofia. Krasimir Durchov (; born 19 May 1979) is a football defender from Bulgaria currently playing for Bansko in the South-West Third League.
