Krachang Tularak
Krachang Tularak ( th, กระจ่าง ตุลารักษ์; ; June 18, 1913 - June 23, 2009) was a member of the Seri Thai and the Khana Ratsadon (People's Party). He participated in the Siamese Revolution of 1932. Krachang, a Thai Chinese of Teochew descent, was born in 1913 in Bang Khla District, Chachoengsao Province. During his childhood, he attended a Chinese school, giving him useful language skills in Teochew. He joined the Khana Ratsadon at 19 years old (1932) after being persuaded to join by his brother, Sanguan Tularak. During the Second World War, Krachang Tularak joined the Seri Thai. He worked closely with his brother, Sanguan, and Pridi Banomyong. He was responsible for communications between China and the Seri Thai. He was involved in training with Tai Li in 1943, bringing nine Sino-Thai agents disguised as opium traders, and delivering a radio to Pridi. Pridi Banomyong
Pridi Banomyong ( th, ปรีดี พนมยงค์, , ; 11 May 1900 – 2 May 1983), also known by his noble title Luang Praditmanutham ( th, หลวงประดิษฐ์มนูธรรม) was a Thai politician and professor. As a Thai Regent, prime minister and senior statesman of Thailand, he also held multiple ministerial posts. He was a leader of the civilian wing of Khana Ratsadon, founder of University of Moral and Political Sciences and the Bank of Thailand. Born to a family of farmers in Ayutthaya Province, he nonetheless received a good education, becoming one of the nation's youngest barristers in 1919, at the age of nineteen. In 1920, he won scholarship to study in France, where he graduated from University of Caen with a master's degree, and completed his doctorate from University of Paris in 1927. Sakon Nakhon
Sakon Nakhon ( th, สกลนคร, ; sometimes written Sakhon Nakhon) is a city (thesaban nakhon) in Thailand within the Isan region, and capital city of Sakon Nakhon Province as well as Mueang Sakon Nakhon District, with a population of approximately 76,000. The Free Thai Movement ( th, เสรีไทย; ) was a Thai underground resistance movement against Imperial Japan during World War II. Seri Thai were an important source of military intelligence for the Allies in the region. Background In the aftermath of the Japanese invasion of Thailand on 7–8 December 1941, the regime of Plaek Phibunsongkhram (Phibun) declared war on the United Kingdom and the United States on 25 January 1942. Seni Pramoj, the Thai ambassador in Washington, refused to deliver the declaration to the United States government. Accordingly, the United States refrained from declaring war on Thailand. Sanguan Tularak
Sanguan Tularaksa ( th, สงวน ตุลารักษ์; ; June 18, 1902 - May 15, 1995) was a Thai politician and a leading member of the Seri Thai. Sanguan was of Chinese descent and was of Teochew origins. A longtime Pridi Banomyong acolyte and member of the 1932 coup group, Sanguan was a member of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Bureau of Tobacco Monopoly in the Ministry of Finance. In 1943 he was made the leader of a delegation sent by the Free Thai leader to establish contacts with the Allies at Chungking. His efforts proved crucial to the securing of British and American support for the underground movement, which would soon receive arms and equipment for effective guerrilla operations. In 1946 he was appointed ambassador to the Republic of China. He refused to return to Thailand following the coup d'état of 1947, declaring that the new constitution was illegitimate.
