Kozárovce () is an old village and municipality in the Levice District in the Nitra Region of Slovakia. History In historical records the village was first mentioned in 1075. Geography The village lies at an altitude of 185 metres and covers an area of 21.822 km2. It has a population of about 2,022 people. Demographics The village is approximately 94% Slovak 5% Romani and almost 1% Hungarian. Government The village has its own birth registry. Martina Holečková
Martina Bajo Holečková (born 6 February 1984) is a Slovak politician. Since 2023 she has served as a Member of the National Council of Slovakia. Early life and career Holečková was born on 6 February 1984 in the village of Kozárovce, where she still resides. She studied law at the University of Trnava. Holečková has worked for the Pallottines missions as a manager of development projects in Slovakia and Sub-Saharan Africa. She is also active as a mediator. Political career Holečková became a member of the municipal council in Kozárovce from 2014 until 2022. She became a member of Christian Democratic Movement in 2016 and its party leadership council in 2020. In 2017, Holečková became a member of the assembly of the Nitra Region in 2017. She ran for the post of governor in the 2022 Slovak regional elections, finishing fourth with 15.65% of the vote. She retained her regional assembly seat and became the Deputy Governor. Districts Of Slovakia
The districts of Slovakia are administrative units known as in the Slovak language. It is a second-tier territorial administrative unit, below a Region () in standing, and superior to a municipality (). Each district contains at least several municipalities. The cities of Bratislava and Košice are the only cities in Slovakia divided into internal urban districts, with five in Bratislava, and four in Košice. These urban districts are then further divided into smaller boroughs (which serve a function analogous to municipalities in typical districts). All other districts are larger in size and also include rural areas, and rural as well as urban municipalities.
