Kouros Maghsoudi
Kouros Maghsoudi (born 1995) is a New York-based furniture designer and urban designer. Early life and education Maghsoudi grew up in Highland Park, Illinois. He graduated from the Parsons The New School of Design. Work In 2021, the designer presented Mehmooni, their debut furniture collection. It was designed share the spirit of a Mehmooni, “gathering” or “party” in Persian. Maghsoudi is inspired by his Persian and Iranian background and includes his ''Taarof'' table, a modular cocktail table with an optional built-in ice bucket, ashtray, and fruit bowl, as an example this. In spring of 2023, he presented his Bundle Collection, a line of metal-based pieces inspired by gauche New York hedonism. Highland Park is a suburban city located in southeastern Lake County, Illinois, United States, about north of downtown Chicago. The Parsons School of Design is a private art and design college under The New School located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York City. Founded in 1896 after a group of progressive artists broke away from established Manhattan art academies in protest of limited creative autonomy, Parsons is one of the oldest schools of art and design in New York. Parsons was the first school to offer programs in fashion design, interior design, advertising, graphic design, Transdisciplinarity, transdisciplinary design, and lighting design. Gae Aulenti
Gaetana "Gae" Emilia Aulenti (; 4 December 1927 – 31 October 2012) was an Italian architect and designer. Aulenti began her career in the early 1950s, establishing herself as one of the few prominent female architects in post-war Italy. Although modernism was the predominant international architectural style throughout much of the 20th century, Aulenti stepped away from its tenets to embrace neo-liberty, an architectural and design theory which upheld the relevance of tradition and artistic freedom within the modern aesthetic. Throughout her career, Aulenti applied her architecture and design expertise to a diverse range of fields, from furniture design to large-scale architectural projects. Aulenti is widely acknowledged for transforming the Gare d'Orsay to the Musée d'Orsay. Joe Cesare Colombo
Cesare Colombo (30 July 1930 – 30 July 1971), known as Joe Colombo, was an Italian industrial designer. Life and career Cesare "Joe" Colombo was until 1949 educated at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, the academy of fine arts, in Milano as a painter and studied afterwards until 1954 Architecture at Politecnico di Milano University. In 1951 he joined the ''Movimento Nucleare'', founded by Sergio Dangelo and Enrico Baj. The following four years Colombo was active as a painter and sculptor of the abstract Expressionism and exhibited his works with other members in Milano, Torino, Verviers, Venice and Brussels. In 1955 Colombo joined the Art Concret group, but gave up his painting to promote his Design Career.
