Kopratasa
Kopratasa is a male vocal trio in Malaysia, established in 1985. Members of the group are Sani Sudin, Usop (Mohd. Yusof Ahmad), Siso (Syed Indra Syed Omar). One of the initiators of the creation of the group was the playwright Dinsman. They perform their own songs with the lyrics based on the poetry of the popular Malay poets (Usman Awang, A. Samad Said, J. M. Aziz, Abdul Aziz H. M., Latiff Mohidin Abdul Latiff Mohidin or simply Latiff Mohidin (born 1941) is a Malaysian modernist painter, sculptor and poet. Dinsman
Dinsman (, Kampung Raja, Jitra, Kedah) is a Malaysian poet, playwright and theatre practitioner. Dinsman is his penname, his real name being Che Shamsudin Osman. Brief biography He received his secondary education at a Muslim school in Alor Setar and a Muslim college in Petaling Jaya (1969-1970). In 1974 he graduated from University of Malaya. In the years 1974-1979 worked at the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Library. Later he organized the theater group "Teater Elit" (1979) and initiated the creation of the popular vocal trio Kopratasa. In 2008, he founded the organization "Artists with the People" (Paksi), which since January 2015 holds every month poetry evenings in one of the madrasah of Kuala Lumpur. Usman Awang
Wan Osman Wan Awang, also known by his pen name Usman Awang (, 12 July 1929 – 29 November 2001) was a Malaysian poet, playwright, novelist and Malaysian National Laureate (1983). Biography Wan Osman was born into a poor peasant family in Johor. He graduated from the 6th grade of his local Malay school. During the Japanese occupation, he was kidnapped by Japanese soldiers to Singapore to do forced labour there. After the war, he joined the police force and served in Johore and Malacca between the years of 1946 to 1951. In 1951, he moved to Singapore, where he initially worked as a proofreader and then as a reporter for the newspaper ''Melayu Raya''. He later joined the weekly '' Mingguan Melayu'' in 1952. Latiff Mohidin
Abdul Latiff Mohidin or simply Latiff Mohidin (born 1941) is a Malaysian modernist painter, sculptor and poet. He is generally known for his body of paintings, sculptures and writings gathered under the term “Pago Pago” produced largely between 1964 and 1968. Early life Latiff Mohidin was born in Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia with roots in the Minangkabau community of West Sumatra, Indonesia. He received his formal primary education at Kota Raja Malay School in Singapore. His talent in painting later granted him the Deutscher Akademischer Austrauschdienst (DAAD) scholarship to study at the Academy of Arts in Berlin from 1960 until 1964. Khalid Salleh
Khalid bin Salleh (29 February 1948 – 23 July 2018) was a Malaysian actor and poet. Brief biography He was brought up in his aunt's family. He graduated from secondary school in Batu Pahat. At first he earned his living by selling medicines in the streets. Creativity Played in the theater and in the films, recited his poems in solo performances.
