Kookmin University
Kookmin University () is a Private university, private research university established in 1946 in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It has historic significance, as it was founded during by the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea and is the first private university founded after the liberation of the Republic of Korea from Japan. Prominent Korean independence movement, Korean independence activists Kim Gu, Jo So-ang and Sin Ik-hui, Shin Ik-hui are strongly associated with the university. In 1959, the SsangYong Group acquired the university. It has around 22,000 students and 350 administrative staff are working at the university's 800 faculties. Since its establishment in 1946, approximately 60,000 students have graduated. The KMU consists of 14 undergraduate colleges, several postgraduate schools, and 10 professional-technical schools. Hwang Yoon-seok (, born January 17, 1982), better known as Hwanhee (), is a South Korean singer, actor and a member of South Korean R&B duo Fly to the Sky. David Yonggi Cho (; 14 February 1936 – 14 September 2021 as Paul Yungi Cho) was a South Korean Pentecostal Pastor. He was the founder of the Yoido Full Gospel Church ( Assemblies of God), which he started in a tent with 5 people (including his future mother-in-law Choi Ja-shil and her children as its first members), which eventually became the world's largest congregation, with a membership of 830,000 (). DIA (; ; shortened from DIAMOND and backronym for Do It Amazing) is a South Korean girl group formed by MBK Entertainment. Cho Seung-hee (; born June 3, 1991), better known as Cho Yi-hyun (), is a South Korean actress, singer, general producer of the label company PocketDol Studio and founder of PocketDol Studio's label M25. Han Kyu-seol (; 29 February 1848 – 22 September 1930) was a prime minister of Korean Empire when the Japan–Korea Treaty of 1905 was signed. Han opposed the treaty, but failed to prevent it from being signed. Biography Han was born on 29 February 1848 in Seoul. In his youth, Han passed the Gwageo's military examination, and was appointed as the commander of army of the in Gyeongsang-right province.
