Ernest Gerald Koob (September11, 1892November12, 1941) was an American professional baseball player who played pitcher in the Major Leagues from 1915 to 1919 for the St. Louis Browns. George Koob
George F. Koob (born 1947) is a Professor and former Chair of the Committee on the Neurobiology of Addictive Disorders at the Scripps Research Institute and Adjunct Professor of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, San Diego. In 2014 he became the director of the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. Biography Koob holds a B.S. in zoology from Pennsylvania State University (1969) and a Ph.D. in Behavioral Physiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (1972). Subsequently he was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Cambridge. An authority on addiction and stress, Koob has published over 750 scientific papers and has received continuous funding for his research from the National Institutes of Health, including the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). Markus Koob (born 5 December 1977) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Hesse since 2013. Political career Koob first became a member of the Bundestag in the 2013 German federal election. In parliament, served on the Finance Committee and the Committee on Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth until moving to the Committee on Foreign Affairs in 2018. Richard Koob
Richard Koob (born 1946) is an American artist, best known as the founder of Kalani Oceanside Retreat, a non-profit retreat center on the Big Island of Hawai'i, and for his contribution to self-development and education. Life Koob grew up in a large family in Minnesota, the son of a farmer-businessman father and a musician-gardener mother. He completed his BA in German Literature and Mathematics at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, with his senior year spent in a study-abroad program at Albrecht Ludwig University in Freiburg, Germany. He later received an MFA in Drama/Dance from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
