Konstantinos Mangos
Konstantinos Mangos ( el, Κωνσταντίνος Μάγγος; born 18 November 1976) is a retired Greek football midfielder. Career Mangos started his career from Haravgi Larissa under coach Ilias Selionis. In 1995 he was signed by top-flight Greek club OFI Heraklion, Selionis' former team. He stayed with OFI coach by Eugène Gerards for four seasons and also played in the UEFA Cup in 1997-98. In 2000 Mangos returned to his hometown Larissa playing for 1988 Greek champion AEL and taking legendary jersey no.10 (worn by Vassilis Karapialis in the past). After a two-year stint with AEL in the second division he played for Piraeus rivals Proodeftiki Proodeftiki Football Club, also known as Proodeftiki Piraeus, simply as Proodeftiki, or with its full name as A.O. Larissa (; el, Λάρισα, , ) is the capital and largest city of the Thessaly region in Greece. It is the fifth-most populous city in Greece with a population of 144,651 according to the 2011 census. Vassilis Karapialis ( el, Βασίλης Καραπιάλης; born 13 June 1965) is a Greek retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder for Larissa, Olympiacos Piraeus and the Greece national football team. He is considered as one of the best Greek midfielders of the 1990s. Youth years at Toxotis Born in Ambelokipoi, Larissa Karapialis started off with street football and in 1979, aged 14, he joined Toxotis Larissa youth team where Giorgos Agorogiannis, later Karapialis's teammate at AEL, was also playing. After a year, in 1980, thanks to his notable skills, he moved to Toxotis first team. He made some exceptional appearances with Toxotis at Larissa Prefecture Amateur League and many Top League's clubs got interested for him. Eugène Gerards
Eugène 'Gène' Gerards (7 May 1940 − 2 January 2018) was a Dutch football player, manager and scout. As a player, Gerards played for Limburgian clubs SV Limburgia and Fortuna '54. As a manager, he spent the majority of his career in Greece, where he acquired citizenship and was a successful head coach for Cretan club OFI Crete for 15 years. Playing career Gène Gerards began his career at Limburgia as a defender-turned-striker in 1957. In 1963 he moved to Fortuna '54, before returning to Limburgia in 1967.
