Konrad Meister
Konrad Meister (30 July 1930 – 27 June 2002) was a German pianist and music educator. Life Born in Heidelberg, Meister was the son of the writer and publisher Hermann Meister (1890-1956) and the pianist Adelheid Meister (1897–1996). He graduated from the Humanistisches Gymnasium in Heidelberg with the Abitur in 1949 and passed the bookseller's assistant exam in 1951. In 1956, he temporarily took over his father's publishing and printing business. At the same time, from 1945 he was a young student for piano at the former conservatory in Heidelberg, which was later merged with the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Mannheim fusioniert wurde. Siegrid Ernst (3 March 1929 – 20 March 2022) was a German pianist, music educator and composer. Biography Siegrid Ernst was born in Ludwigshafen am Rhein and studied piano, violin and music theory as a child. She later studied piano and composition in Heidelberg, Frankfurt and Vienna, at the University of Music and Dramatic Art in Heidelberg and Mannheim and at the University of the Arts Bremen. After completing her studies, she performed contemporary music both solo and in chamber ensembles for concerts and radio productions, and taught piano and composition, music theory and improvisation. Cornelius Meister (born 23 February 1980 in Hannover, is a German conductor and pianist. Biography Meister's father, Konrad Meister, was a pianist and professor of piano at the Musikhochschule Hannover. His mother is also a piano teacher. His half-brother, Rudolf Meister, is also a pianist and is Rector of the ''Musikhochschule Mannheim''. Meister studied piano and conducting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. Besides his father, his teachers in Hannover included Martin Brauss and Eiji Oue. Meister also studied music at the Salzburg Mozarteum, with such teachers as Dennis Russell Davies and Karl Kamper. He was a prize winner at the 1996 Southwest German Chamber Music Competition, a winner of the Radeberger Award and the Audience Award at the 1998 Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, and a recipient in 2000 of a prize of the Deutscher Musikwettbewerb. Rudolf Meister (pianist)
Rudolf Meister (1 August 1897 – 11 September 1958) was a German general (General der Flieger) in the Luftwaffe during World War II who commanded the 4th Air Corps. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross of Nazi Germany. Meister surrendered to the American troops in May 1945 and was interned until 1948. In 1950, Meister was one of the authors of the Himmerod memorandum which addressed the issue of rearmament (''Wiederbewaffnung'') of the Federal Republic of Germany after World War II.
