Konflict
Konflict, also known under their separate artist names ''Kemal'' and ''Rob Data'', were a musical duo that composed drum and bass music, consisting of Kemal Okan and Robert Rodgers. Their music had a strong techno influence, and it was influential in the shaping of the neurofunk subgenre. The majority of their material was released between 1999 and 2002; a period which carried the Anthem status in the Drum and Bass music scene. They released their first work in 1998 under the name ''Konflict'', but after abandoning the name in 2000, they continued to release music as ''Kemal and Rob Data''. After the Konflict period, Kemal also released many solo works as well as collaborations with other drum and bass artists. Dominic Angas, better known by his stage name Dom & Roland, is a British drum and bass DJ and record producer. Active since the mid-1990s, Angas is recognised for his contributions to the techstep subgenre and his work with labels such as Moving Shadow, Metalheadz, and his own imprint, Dom & Roland Productions. His debut album, ''Industry'' (1998), is regarded as a significant release in the late 1990s drum and bass scene. In addition to his solo work, Angas has contributed to the development of the darker, experimental edge of drum and bass through numerous collaborations and remixes. Black Sun Empire
Black Sun Empire are a Dutch drum and bass group that formed in Utrecht, Netherlands in 1997 by producers Rene Verdult and brothers Micha and Milan Heyboer. The group has received much praise from critics, even being referred to as "the kings of all things neuro". Since their inception, the group has released five full-length albums and have operated three independent record labels: Black Sun Empire Recordings, Obsessions, and Blackout Music NL. History Rene, Milan, and Micha all knew each other since they were children and the trio were first exposed to jungle music as teens in the mid-1990s. Phace (real name Florian Harres; born 7 March) is a German music producer, DJ and label owner living in Hamburg, Germany. Influenced by bands and artists such as Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, The Prodigy, Photek, Thomas Bangalter, Miles Davis, Optical and Konflict, he is known for his state of the art, futuristic, and distinct sound-design and songwriting. Rolldabeats (branded in lowercase, as rolldabeats) is an online music database and internet forum dedicated to drum and bass and its various stylistic origins. It was launched in February 2005 by the original webmaster Thijs Engels, and web designer Tom "Haste" Johnson. Having gone offline in November 2022, it has partially been reinstated in September 2023. History Rolldabeats originally started in December 2001 as Tarzan, an online database of music releases compiled from Engels music collection. This soon expanded through regular contributors to the forum, especially tracklistings of mixtapes and unreleased tracks. Pendulum is an Australian electronic rock band founded in 2002. Pendulum originally formed in the city of Perth, Western Australia, by Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul "El Hornet" Harding. 808 State are an English electronic music group formed in 1987 in Manchester by Graham Massey, Martin Price and Gerald Simpson.
