Komplot Design
Komplot Design is a design studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 1987 by Danish architect Poul Christiansen and Russian-born designer Boris Berlin. The company works within the fields of industrial design, industrial, graphic design, graphic and furniture design. History Poul Christiansen (born 1947) graduated as an architect from the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1973. From 1969, he worked as a freelance designer, designing for companies like Danish lamp manufacturer Le Klint and Herman Miller (office equipment), Herman Miller. Boris Berlin (born 1953) was born and educated as an industrial designer in Saint Petersburg, then working with the design of optical instruments and aerospace equipment before moving to Denmark in 1983. From 1984-87, he worked as a product and graphic designer. Poul Christiansen and Boris Berlin founded Komplot Design in 1987. Forum AID Award
The Forum AID Award was a Nordic architecture and design award, given annually by the Swedish magazine Forum AID. AID is an acronym for the three subject-matters of the magazine - Architecture, Interior design and Design - and it is also the three categories of the award. It is given to the designers of the "Best Building nterior design and design in the Nordic Countries" that year. The award was founded in 2004 and is presented at a ceremony in Stockholm The selection process is carried out in two stages. Each Nordic country is represented through its selection committee. Red Dot Design Award
The Red Dot Design Award is a German international design prize awarded by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG. There are prize categories for product design, brands and communication design, and design concept. Since 1955, designers and producers can apply for the prizes, with the winners being presented in an annual ceremony. Winning products are presented among others in the ''Red Dot Design Museum'' on the premises of the historical Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen. The Red Dot Design Museum Essen, the first Red Dot Design Museum, was built in 1997. The second Red Dot Design Museum was built in Singapore in 2005. Yoshio Taniguchi (谷口 吉生, ''Taniguchi Yoshio''; born 1937) is a Japanese architect best known for his redesign of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, which was reopened November 20, 2004.
