Kommuri Sambasiva Rao
Kommuri Sambasiva Rao (1926–1994) was a Telugu novelist and a journalist. He was born into a family of writers. He wrote over 90 novels in Telugu, including the first horror novel in the language. He is best known for his detective novels. Life He was born on 26 October 1926 in Tenali, Guntur district, Madras State to Venkatramaiah, Padmavathi. Venkatramaiah used to own a printing press in Tenali. He is the younger brother of famous Telugu writer Chalam. Because Chalam was adopted by his grand father his surname got changed to ''Gudipati''. His mother Padmavathi used to play stage dramas along with Bellary Raghava. Sambasiva Rao's elder sister Varudhini is a wife of Kodavatiganti Kutumba Rao, another famous writer. His younger sister Usha Rani was the chairman of Telugu division of National Book Trust, New Delhi. He wrote short stories at the age of 14 years. He extensively wrote between 1957–1980. Tenali
Tenali is a city in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a municipality, and the headquarters of Tenali mandal and Tenali revenue division. The city is renowned for art, culture, drama, and hence, it is called "Andhra Paris". Madras State
Madras State was a state in the Indian Republic, which was in existence during the mid-20th century as a successor to the Madras Presidency of British India. The state came into existence on 26 January 1950 when the Constitution of India was adopted and included the present-day Tamil Nadu, Kerala and parts of neighbouring states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Gudipati Venkatachalam (1894–1979), popularly known as Chalam, was an Indian Telugu-language writer and philosopher. He was considered to be one of the most influential personalities in modern Telugu literature. Most of Chalam's work was regarding women, especially the kind of difficulties women encountered in the society, both physical and psychological. Chalam's work discussed how he believed women should face these problems. His writing had a distinctive style which would earn him an enviable place in the Telugu literary world. Bellary Raghava (born ''Tadipatri Raghavacharyulu''; 2 August 1880 – 16 April 1946) was an Indian playwright and actor, known for his works predominantly in Telugu theatre and cinema.M.L. Kodavatiganti Kutumba Rao (28 October 1909 – 17 August 1980), also known as Ko Ku, was an exponent of the Telugu literature in the 20th century. He believed that literature which criticises and enriches human life and ultimately reforms the human thought of its time is the only relevant form of literature. Richard Horatio Edgar Wallace (1 April 1875 – 10 February 1932) was a British writer of crime and adventure fiction. Born into poverty as an illegitimate London child, Wallace left school at the age of 12. He joined the army at age 21 and was a war correspondent during the Second Boer War for Reuters and the ''Daily Mail''.
