Komet (song)
"Komet" (; ) is a song by German singer Udo Lindenberg and rapper Apache 207. It was released on 19 January 2023 by Warner as the lead single from the latter's upcoming second studio album ''Gartenstadt''. After debuting at number two in Germany, the song went on to reach number one in its second week, holding the top spot for 21 non-consecutive weeks. In doing so, the song became the longest-running number-one song of all time in Germany, even tying the record of longest running number-one songs predating the current chart publishing. Additionally, Lindenberg achieved his first number-one song in his over-50-year career, while Apache earned his eleventh number-one on the chart. It also topped the Austrian charts in April 2023. Udo Lindenberg
Udo Lindenberg (born 17 May 1946) is a German singer, drummer, and composer. Career Lindenberg started his musical career as a drummer. In 1969, he founded his first band Free Orbit, and also appeared as a studio and guest musician (with Michael Naura, Knut Kiesewetter). In 1970, he collaborated as a drummer with jazz saxophonist Klaus Doldinger in Munich. In 1971 Passport, a band founded by Doldinger, released its first album, with Lindenberg on drums. He also played drums for the theme music for the German TV series '' Tatort''. The first LP by the jazz rock group Emergency was released in 1971, but met with little commercial success. The LP ''Lindenberg'' (also 1971, sung in English, with Steffi Stephan on bass) was likewise unsuccessful. The Hotel Atlantic Hamburg is a historic luxury hotel in Hamburg, Germany, opened in 1909. It is located in the St. Georg district, between the Außenalster lake and the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof. History The Hotel Atlantic was constructed at a cost of 14 million gold marks and was designed to house passengers on transatlantic ocean liners of the Hamburg America Line (HAPAG) and the Hamburg South America Line.
