Komara Wildlife Reserve
Komara () is a village in the northwestern part of the Evros regional unit in northern Greece. Komara is in the municipal unit of Trigono. Komara is situated on the left (northern) bank of the river Arda, near the border with Bulgaria. It is 2 km north of Kyprinos, the nearest larger village. It is 20 km south of the Bulgarian town Svilengrad, 27 km northwest of Orestiada and 29 km west of the Turkish city Edirne. Population History Komara was founded by the Ottomans between 1780 and 1790. Greeks from Adrianople (Edirne), Ortaköy and Northern Thrace were employed in the manor. The name "Komara" comes from the Turkish phrase (''kum aresi'') which means "between the sands" in English. The residents came from Epirus, Ortaköy, Svilengrad and Kırklareli. East Macedonia And Thrace
Eastern Macedonia and Thrace ( ; , ) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece. It consists of the northeastern parts of the country, comprising the eastern part of the region of Macedonia along with the region of Western Thrace, and the islands of Thasos and Samothrace. Ortaköy
Ortaköy (, ''Middle Village)'' is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Beşiktaş, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 9,121 (2024). It is on the European shore of the Bosphorus. it was originally a small fishing village, known in Greek language, Greek as Agios Fokas (Άγιος Φωκάς) in the Byzantine period and then as Mesachorion (Μεσαχώριον, meaning 'Middle Village'). During the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman era and into the first decades of the Turkey, Turkish Republic, Ortaköy was a cosmopolitan place with communities of Turkish people, Turks, Greeks, Armenians and Jews. Kallikratis Reform
The Kallikratis Programme () is the common name of Greek law 3852/2010 of 2010, a major administrative reform in Greece. It brought about the second major reform of the country's administrative divisions following the 1997 Kapodistrias reform. Named after ancient Greek architect Callicrates, the programme was presented by the socialist Papandreou cabinet and was adopted by the Hellenic Parliament in May 2010. The programme's implementation started with the November 2010 local elections, and was completed by January 2011. It was amended by the Kleisthenis I Programme (Law 4555/2018), which was adopted in July 2018 and implemented in September 2019. Kırklareli
Kırklareli () is a city in the East Thrace, European part of Turkey. It is the seat of Kırklareli Province and Kırklareli District.İl Belediyesi Turkey Civil Administration Departments Inventory.
