František Jaromír Kolár
František Jaromír Kolár (29 May 1919 – 7 September 1984) was a Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak party leader, communist journalist, columnist and writer. Biography Kolár was born into a Jewish family, but as a young man he completely cut off all ties to his Jewish heritage. He devoted his life to communist ideology; at the age of 16, in 1934, he joined the Komsomol. During World War II he was in Great Britain and fought in the foreign Czechoslovak army, but at the same time adhered to the ideals of the upcoming socialist revolution. In 1945 he returned to his homeland and worked as a journalist for the newspaper ''Rudé právo'', and also worked as an economics expert in the Central Committee Commission on National Economy. In the early 1950s, Kolár was accused of adherence to Zionism and sentenced to 15 years in prison; František denied the charges and was eventually acquitted. Auguste Auspitz-Kolár
Auguste Auspitz-Kolár (19 March 1844 – 26 December 1878 was a Bohemian-born Austrian pianist and composer. The daughter of Josef Jiří Kolár, actor, director and translator, and Anna Manetinská Kolárová, a singer, she was born Auguste Kolár in Prague and studied piano with Bedřich Smetana and then Josef Proksch in Prague and with Wilhelmine Clauss-Szarvady in Paris. In 1865, she travelled to Vienna where she performed in concerts held by the Hellmesberger Quartet. She also performed in concert with Clara Schumann. Auspitz-Kolár performed in London during the summers of 1868 and 1870. In 1868, she married physician Heinrich Auspitz. She continued performing until her son Hans was born in 1875. Auspitz-Kolar died in Vienna. Proto-Slavic Language
Proto-Slavic (abbreviated PSl., PS.; also called Common Slavic or Common Slavonic) is the unattested, reconstructed proto-language of all Slavic languages. It represents Slavic speech approximately from the 2nd millennium BC through the 6th century AD. As with most other proto-languages, no attested writings have been found; scholars have reconstructed the language by applying the comparative method to all the attested Slavic languages and by taking into account other Indo-European languages. Rapid development of Slavic speech occurred during the Proto-Slavic period, coinciding with the massive expansion of the Slavic-speaking area. Dialectal differentiation occurred early on during this period, but overall linguistic unity and mutual intelligibility continued for several centuries, into the 10th century or later. Evzen Kolar
Evzen Kolar (July 8, 1950 – July 11, 2017) was a Czech film producer. Born in Brno, he acted on film and television from an early age. Kolar moved to directing televised work and was also known for directing commercials. He was based in London before relocating to the United States in 1979. Kolar worked for Fireline Productions and Crossover Films Entertainment before starting his own company KPI Entertainment in 1993. He died in Los Angeles at the age of 67 in 2017. Zdenko Kolar
Zdenko Kolar ( sr-cyr, Зденко Колар) is a Serbian bass guitarist, most notable as the member of Idoli and Zona B. Biography Kolar was born in Zemun in 1956 where he lived until 1963 when he moved to inner town in Belgrade. He moved to a building where two of his future bandmates lived, Vlada Divljan and Boža Jovanović. In an interview Kolar noted that Divljan was the first boy he had met in his new neighborhood on the day his family was moving in. First musical steps In 1968 Divljan decided to take up playing and so did Kolar. Divljan managed to get a mandolin and later bought a guitar while Kolar got his first guitar by getting a vacuum cleaner on a newspaper lottery. His parents sold the vacuum cleaner and bought him a guitar. The two started learning how to play while watching others play in their neighborhood at the places where the young were gathering. Victor Kolar
Victor Kolar (February 12, 1888 – June 16, 1957) was a Hungarian-born American composer and conductor. Kolar was born in Budapest and studied at the Prague Conservatory, where he was a pupil of Otakar Ševčík (violin) and Antonín Dvořák (composition). From 1905 until 1920 he was a violinist with the Pittsburgh Symphony and New York Symphony, joining the Detroit Symphony in 1920 as an assistant conductor. He remained with the orchestra until 1941, eventually assuming the post of principal conductor. Active as a composer as well, he wrote a symphony, some tone poems and a few orchestral suites. Of these last, his ''Americana'' won first prize in a 1914 contest sponsored by the Illinois State Teachers Association. Kolar died in Detroit in 1957. Robert Kolar ( sr-Cyrl, Роберт Колар; born 18 September 1966) is a politician in Serbia. A longtime member of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina (LSV), he has served in the Assembly of Vojvodina since 2012. Private life Kolar is a dramatist from Novi Sad, Vojvodina. LSV spokesperson Kolar was a spokesperson for the LSV in 2000 and was a prominent voice in opposition to the government of Slobodan Milošević and his allies. In January 2000, he expressed regret that the European Union had failed to lift sanctions against Serbia. Nastja Kolar (born 15 July 1994) is a Slovenian former professional tennis player. In her junior career, her highest ranking was fourth. Her highest WTA rankings were 178 in singles and 140 in doubles.
